Things are looking incredibly grim. The world is on the verge of a full-scale war, fueled by a dangerous and unhinged leader. Meanwhile, Butcher is set on releasing a virus designed to kill superpowered individuals – even those who are his friends. However, the latest preview hints that he’s also searching for V1, which appears to offer him a path to immortality, potentially saving himself from the virus’s effects.
Despite the challenges, there’s still reason to be optimistic. The new trailer promises the same blend of humor and violence that fans expect from The Boys, and the official description from Prime Video perfectly embodies that spirit.
The fifth season is all about Homelander, who’s acting increasingly unpredictable and self-centered. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are held captive, while Annie tries to fight back against the powerful Supes, but Kimiko is missing. When Butcher returns with a virus designed to eliminate all Supes, he unleashes a series of events that will dramatically change everything and everyone. Get ready for the epic finale – things are about to get huge!
The sneak peek introduces several new characters. We get our first look at Daveed Diggs as the new hero, Oh-Father, and a quick appearance by Jared Padalecki, who previously starred with Daveed Diggs in Supernatural. Plus, Kimiko will finally be able to speak!
And let’s not forget the violence and everything else disturbing. It’s bad enough that someone awful is leading the country, but allowing The Deep to continue with his ridiculous podcast on top of that is just outrageous.
The Boys season five will debut with two at Prime Video on April 8, 2026.
