Sabrina Carpenter has returned with another popular studio album, and some of its tracks are already making waves—check out her latest single titled “Taste.” But this song isn’t just generating excitement due to its catchy tunes; fans have been discussing the lyrics, suspecting they may reflect Carpenter’s past relationship with Shawn Mendes. This speculation arises from the fact that Mendes rekindled his romance with Camila Cabello in 2023.

“It’s been said that you two are back together again. If that’s the case, then when he kisses you, you might as well try me.” The pair who sing Senorita were once just friends but started dating in 2019 and remained so until 2021, with a brief reunion at Coachella in 2023.

Some fans wonder if this could be referring to the former couple sharing a kiss at Coachella after reconciliation. The song ends with “Oh, wow, you just broke up again / What a coincidence,” further fueling the rumor as the Bam Bam and In My Blood singers called it quits soon after.
