‘It Should Always Be…’: Jill Duggar Opens Up About Not Being Bridesmaid In Sister Jana’s Wedding

As a long-time fan and follower of the Duggar family, I find myself both intrigued and saddened by the conspicuous absence of Jill Duggar Dillard from her sister Jana’s wedding. Being an avid viewer of the TLC show “19 Kids and Counting,” I have seen the ups and downs, triumphs and trials, of this extraordinary family.

It’s been noticed that Jill Duggar Dillard was missing from her sister Jana Duggar’s wedding to Stephen Wissmann last month, and this absence has sparked some curiosity. Unlike the grand wedding on August 15 with a guest list of 500 people, Jill wasn’t part of Jana’s bridal party or chosen as a bridesmaid.

The well-known Duggar family, known for their reality TV series on TLC called 19 Kids and Counting, have always sparked curiosity among the public due to the unique lifestyle led by parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, along with their 19 kids.

During a recent fan Q&A on Instagram, a curious fan asked why Jill Duggar, the author of Counting the Cost, did not have the honor of walking her sibling down the aisle with her other sisters, amid speculation about family drama. “Why weren’t you a bridesmaid? No hate! Just genuinely curious,” a comment, under a recent Instagram post bearing a montage of the wedding, asked.

The 33-year-old reality TV personality offered a vague comment, suggesting that the final choice regarding the decision lies with the bride herself.

As a die-hard fan, I’m clueless about the matter, but I firmly believe that it’s the bride who should make the final call, as I shared in my Instagram post on Thursday, August 22nd.

Despite ending its run after seven seasons in 2015, the intrigue surrounding the tumultuous family’s inner struggles and drama continues to persist.

In the news recently was the wedding of Jana Duggar, one of the older siblings, which took place in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. This event marked a significant milestone for the Duggar family. According to US Weekly, Jana, aged 34, selected her sister Jessa Duggar Seewald as her maid of honor. Joining her as bridesmaids were sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth (26), Johannah Duggar (18), Jinger Duggar Vuolo (30), and Jordyn Duggar (15). Also among the bridesmaids was sister-in-law Abbie Duggar.

At her sister’s recent religious ceremony, Jill Duggar felt out of place because her sisters Jana and others led the event, while she was unable to attend. Interestingly, it was Jana who had been invited to Jill’s 2014 wedding to Derick Dillard.

Despite having three children, Jill continues to hold deep affection and happiness towards her sister and brother-in-law as they start this exciting new chapter in their lives. To celebrate this special moment, she put together a stunning slideshow of Jana’s elegant wedding ceremony and added a touching message for her dear sibling in the description.

“My sister @janamduggar just got married to @stephenwissmann! Big congratulations to the newlyweds. Here’s a montage set to Better Midler’s Chapel of Love as the soundtrack.”

While speaking to People, Jana Duggar talked about her traditional Arkansas wedding without mentioning why Jill was not present. She mused, “I can’t believe it! This is exactly what I’ve always imagined.” She referred to her wedding as a realization of her dreams.

As Jana strolled down the aisle accompanied by her dad, Jim Bob, the melodious “Holy, Holy, Holy” filled the air, while she donned an elegant off-shoulder ivory satin ball gown. She desired to maintain a straightforward and intimate ceremony, preferring it to be graced only by cherished family members, excluding Jill from the proceedings.
