Sabrina Carpenter Opens Up About Falling In Love While Growing Older: ‘Don’t Want This To Sound Sad But…’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity relationships, I must say that Sabrina Carpenter‘s journey through love is nothing short of captivating. Her experiences, from her early days dating fellow Disney Channel stars to her high-profile relationship with Barry Keoghan, paint a vivid picture of a woman who is not only open about her feelings but also fearless in the face of love’s ups and downs.

On the August 23rd episode of Chicken Shop Date, Sabrina Carpenter revealed intimate insights about her feelings towards falling in love.

As a lifestyle expert, I might rephrase it as: “Ah, such an intriguing question you’ve posed! You’d think I’d be asked about the latest carpentry techniques, not my romantic life, in a place like this. When I was younger, love came to me effortlessly. Nowadays, I find myself falling in love more frequently, but let me assure you, it’s not a sad state of affairs. Rather, I fall in love with a deeper understanding and appreciation.”

In my perspective, I wholeheartedly agree with Adele – love, a stunningly beautiful yet excruciatingly painful experience, holds an extraordinary power. Nevertheless, it’s the splendid side of love that triumphs over its agony.

Previously, Carpenter expressed to Interview Magazine in May 2021: “I’d like my future spouse to be a fan, and I aspire to be the greatest fan of the person I end up marrying.”

Initially, the carpenter’s first known romantic partner was Bradley Steven Perry, a colleague from Disney Channel, whom she dated for a year starting from 2014. Since then, rumors have connected her with Griffin Gluck, Joshua Bassett, Shawn Mendes, and David Dobrik.

Her high-profile romance blossomed when she started dating actor Barry Keoghan, whom she met at a party during the fall 2023 Paris Fashion Week. This year, Carpenter and Keoghan have been making headlines with their public appearances. Furthermore, the pop star publicly acknowledged her relationship in the music video for Please Please Please, which features Barry Keoghan, also known as the Saltburn actor.

Reflecting on an unforgettable encounter, I recently had the privilege of collaborating with a talented actor in a music video that stands among the top experiences of my career. Working alongside him was nothing short of extraordinary, and I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

Initially, dating speculations arose regarding Keoghan and Carpenter following their public dinner date in Los Angeles during December. Later, at the Grammy Awards in February, they were seen together and shared a kiss later that evening. Despite neither of them confirming their relationship openly, after the release of their music video, she expressed only positive comments about her partner.

Lately, there’s been talk that the relationship between the couple may be struggling and they might have ended things. However, according to US Weekly, Keoghan seems to have refuted this by showing appreciation for one of her Instagram posts about the release of her album ‘Short n’ Sweet’, which came out on August 23. The song “Please Please Please” is included in it.
