Top 10 TV Shows That Ended or Going to End in 2024; Featuring Good Trouble, Young Sheldon, and More

As a dedicated television enthusiast with over three decades of viewing under my belt, I must say that this recent wave of cancellations and endings has left me feeling like a seasoned survivor on a deserted island, surrounded by the remnants of once-thriving series. It’s as if the television networks have decided to stage their very own “Last TV Standing” competition, and I’m left wondering who will be the last man (or woman or show) standing.

Multiple streaming platforms are seeing a surge in show cancellations recently. For instance, Disney+ has terminated the action-fantasy series “American Born Chinese” after only one season. Similarly, “Our Flag Means Death”, a pirate-themed romantic comedy on Max, has also been cut short after two seasons. Apple TV+ has decided to wrap up “Schmigadoon” after two seasons, even though they had a plan for a third. To add to this, the show “Minx”, initially canceled by Max as a tax loss, was later picked up by Starz but has now been axed again.

In contrast, certain shows are coming to a peaceful end, either because of creative choices or low viewer interest. For instance, Blue Bloods, a police family drama starring Tom Selleck, is wrapping up this fall following 14 seasons. Interestingly, Taylor Sheridan’s hit modern western Yellowstone is preparing for its finale during the fifth season, airing in November on Paramount Network. However, excited fans can anticipate new spin-offs that will carry on the Yellowstone narrative further.

Various popular television series are set to conclude following their forthcoming seasons, even though the specific air dates for these last runs remain undetermined as of now. Among the shows we’re eagerly awaiting are:
