Peter Claffey, who plays Ser Duncan the Tall in HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, is a tall actor – a key trait for the role! But the first season showed he’s much more than just his height; he’s a truly talented performer. As a fan of the Dunk and Egg stories, he exceeded all my expectations. It’s no surprise he’s a rising star, but you likely aren’t ready to see this old video of him doing a spot-on impression of Stewie Griffin from Family Guy.
You might believe you’re prepared, but you’re not. Even someone as skilled as Lyonel Baratheon couldn’t exaggerate how difficult this will be.
I warned you, repeatedly! But even knowing that, nothing could have prepared me for how amazing this actually is. It’s a perfect recreation, absolutely spot-on. Okay, it might be small in scale, but that’s irrelevant when the quality is this high.
A Reddit user named La_Villanelle_ recently shared an amazing clip of actor Joe Alwyn from his younger days. The interview footage is from when he was playing rugby for Ireland’s Under-20 team in 2016 – and he was already impressively built! People are saying he could have realistically played the character Ser Duncan the Tall in HBO’s Dunk prequel even ten years ago. That’s because the character is supposed to be quite young – either 16 or 17 – in the original story, and Alwyn fit the physique even back then. (The character himself isn’t even sure of his age!)
We’re thrilled to have him joining the cast of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and we’d love to hear him on another show soon. Family Guy is always on TV, so there’s still a chance to get Claffey on the show to do his amazing Stewie Griffin impression – and we don’t want to wait too long to hear it!
