I’m so excited! New pictures just surfaced from the set of Euphoria season three, and they show Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard again. They were taken during filming last year, and honestly, seeing them is getting everyone, including me, to speculate wildly about what’s going to happen next in the show. It’s such a tease!
The third season will jump forward five years in time. The show will move beyond high school and focus on the characters as young adults navigating more mature and challenging issues. Viewers last saw Cassie dealing with a difficult breakup with Maddy, and many are eager to see how she’s grown and changed over the years.
Sweeney has previously discussed the show’s time jump and expressed her enthusiasm for it. She believes it offers significant opportunities for both her own personal development and for her character, Cassie, to evolve, demonstrating her continued connection to the role.

Sweeney’s career has taken off recently. She received critical acclaim for her role as boxer Christy Martin in the 2025 film Christy, where she did a lot of her own stunts after intense training. This performance won her a Virtuoso Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
I was so impressed with her in the thriller The Housemaid – it really did well in theaters! She played this woman who starts working for a rich family and uncovers all sorts of hidden, dark secrets. And guess what? They’re already making a sequel, which I’m really excited about!
She will next be seen playing actress Kim Novak in the film Scandalous, directed by Colman Domingo. There’s also been talk of her joining other big projects, possibly including sequels to popular film series. In addition to acting, she’s also producing through her company, Fifty-Fifty Films.
Even with everything that’s happened, Euphoria is still central to her career in Hollywood. She’s excited to work again with stars like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer on the upcoming season.
The show’s time jump has the potential to revitalize the story. That glimpse of a wedding dress could be a significant hint about what’s to come, or it might just be a dream.
