Metallica announces 2026 Sphere shows in Las Vegas

The Sphere in Las Vegas is influencing how bands plan their tours. While its dazzling visuals might appeal to pop artists like Coldplay, it’s currently rock bands who are really thriving with performances there. Metallica is the latest to announce multiple shows at the venue.

Following a European tour, Metallica is heading to Las Vegas for eight shows in October. If you’ve been planning a trip to Vegas, now’s the time to book your flights – seeing Metallica at the Sphere promises to be an incredible experience.

To really shine at this venue, bands need a great light show. It boasts a huge 160,000 square feet dedicated to video displays, plus a powerful and clear sound system. U2 was the first band to perform there, in 2023, and their performance established a high standard for future shows.

Metallica announces 2026 dates to play the Sphere in Las Vegas

James Hetfield and the rest of Metallica are set to deliver an incredible show at the Sphere. Fans can expect powerful sound that fills the entire venue, combined with stunning visuals on the massive screens surrounding them. The concerts promise to be a high-energy experience lasting two to three hours.

Tickets for these shows come in different options to suit your needs. Special Travel + VIP packages went on sale February 27th. If you’re arranging your own travel, you can buy reserved seating tickets starting March 3rd. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning March 6th.

Metallica is making history as the first heavy metal band to play at the Sphere. While other popular acts like U2, the Eagles, Phish, and Dead & Company have all performed there, many believe Metallica’s show could be even better than U2’s, which was already considered exceptional.
