Sarah Michelle Gellar, Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton Bring Bold Glam and Wicked Energy to ‘Ready or Not 2’ Press Tour

Excitement is growing for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, especially thanks to its stars. Samara Weaving, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Kathryn Newton have been promoting the sequel together, and their recent appearances have fans buzzing about a larger, more intense story.

Naomi Weaving reprises her role as Grace, the character who survived the harrowing events of the first movie. This time, the story takes Grace on a journey that goes beyond the original location. During interviews for the film, Weaving playfully mentioned the challenge of juggling promotional appearances with her everyday life.

The new movie continues the story immediately after the 2019 film, and Grace’s terrifying experiences aren’t over yet. We’ll meet Grace’s long-lost sister, Faith (played by Newton), and both of them will find themselves caught in a dangerous new situation. This time, however, the danger comes from a large group of wealthy and influential families, not just a single one.

Gellar will play Ursula Danforth, an important character connected to one of the story’s opposing sides. Her casting has excited many horror fans who fondly remember her previous work in the genre, and this role signals a continued move towards more suspenseful and chilling stories.

The movie’s universe is growing, with new characters introduced by actors Elijah Wood and David Cronenberg. Their addition suggests the story is moving beyond the focused events of the first film and becoming a much bigger, more expansive story.

All three actresses are currently working on other projects. Weaving recently starred in Azrael and Borderline, and will be in Over Your Dead Body later this year. Newton is receiving a lot of attention following her performance in Abigail and has more work on the way. Gellar is getting ready for Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale, a continuation of the popular series featuring her iconic character.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directed the new movie. They’ve described it as maintaining the scary feel of the original while delivering more action and visual effects.

The horror sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, will premiere at the SXSW festival before hitting theaters on March 20th. Experts predict it has the potential to be a box office success.
