In the case of The Nightmare Before Christmas, it has been passed down from the original fans’ children, now reaching the second generation, and soon the third. This sense of longevity is incredibly gratifying; it feels like all the hard work was worth it.”
As a longtime fan of stop-motion animation and a lover of unique storytelling, I’m thrilled to hear that Coraline, one of my all-time favorite films, is being re-released in theaters this summer for its 15th anniversary. Having grown up watching Coraline, I can still recall the sense of wonder and excitement it evoked in me as a child, and I’m eager to experience that magic again on the big screen.
Initially premiered in 1993, Tim Burton’s film The Nightmare Before Christmas tells the story of Jack Skellington, the ruler of Halloween Town, who embarks on an adventure to Christmas Town. In interviews, Burton has expressed his reluctance to produce a sequel, fearing it might over-exploit the franchise like some other movie series have done. Over time, there have been numerous speculations about a sequel for this classic Disney movie.
