As a dedicated fan who’s been following this magical journey since its inception, I must say that the upcoming conclusion of The Irregular At Magic High School: Master Clans Conference Arc is bittersweet. Having grown with Tatsuya and Miyuki over the years, witnessing their struggles, triumphs, and the complexities of their bond has been an exhilarating experience.
In the next issue of Square Enix’s G Fantasy Magazine, due out on September 18, the Manga adaptation of The Irregular at Magic High School: Master Clans Conference Arc will conclude. This manga, which started its serialization in March 2020, is illustrated by Hazumi Takeda and is based on the novel series by Tsutomu Satō.
1) The storyline known as the Master Clans Conference spans volumes 17 to 19 within this popular novel series. The first compiled book volume of the manga was published by Square Enix back in September 2020, with the eighth volume coming out in March 2024. Simultaneously, a manga adaptation for the Yotsuba Succession arc from Satō’s novel debuted in the same publication.
In Volume 8 of the Master Clans Conference, Shiba Tatsuya reveals his hidden power. To track down Gu Jie, the mastermind responsible for the terrorist attack on the Ten Master Clans, Tatsuya summons Miyuki to his secret lab beneath the ground. As Miyuki has undergone purification, it leaves one curious about what awaits the brother and sister in the shadows.
In different adaptations, The Irregular at Magic High School manga has been illustrated by various artists and published in numerous versions. Each manga focuses on distinct arcs within the original book series. The initial adaptation dates back to 2012, with Fumino Hayashi and Tsuna Kitaumi as its creators. More recently, Yuzuki N’ is responsible for adapting the President Election Arc.
Beyond the manga version, this series has spawned various spin-offs, been turned into light novels, animated series, and video games as well. The original novel series penned by Tsutomu Satō has achieved sales exceeding 22 million copies. This story is set in the year 2090, where magic is a reality due to technological advancements. It chronicles the lives of siblings Tatsuya and Miyu as they attend First High Magic High School.
Despite keeping their connections to the Yotsuba family secret, they strive for a tranquil existence. Tatsuya faces mockery due to his lack of magic prowess, while Miyuki is celebrated for her skills. Following the broadcast of the last episode in Season 3, a movie adaptation of the Yotsuba Succession Arc was revealed. As we eagerly await updates, it remains intriguing as to when the next arc will be adapted. Keep an eye out for upcoming news on The Irregular at Magic High School!
