I’m really impressed with what Apple TV+ is doing right now. They’ve got a ton of great movies that everyone’s talking about. Seriously, there’s something for everyone – from fast-paced racing stories to really unique sci-fi romances. Lately, I’ve noticed people are loving the funny heist movies, the edge-of-your-seat survival stories, and the cool alternate history films. It seems like we all want original content with big names and a really polished look, and Apple TV+ is delivering!
‘Fly Me to the Moon’ (2024)

As a total space movie buff, I recently watched ‘Fly Me to the Moon,’ and it’s a really interesting take on the Apollo 11 mission. The story centers around a marketing whiz NASA brings in to polish their image, and she immediately butts heads with the launch director – a real stickler for doing things the right way. Things get seriously complicated when the White House, worried about failure, secretly asks her to create a fake moon landing as a safety net. It’s a fascinating film that really makes you think about what’s real and what’s not, especially considering all the political pressure during the space race.
‘The Instigators’ (2024)

“The Instigators” tells the story of a father down on his luck and a former convict struggling with alcohol who join forces to rob a crooked politician in Boston. But their plan quickly falls apart, and they’re soon caught up in a wild chase, pursued by the police, unhelpful officials, and a dangerous crime boss. Completely overwhelmed, they reluctantly enlist the help of a therapist as they try to escape and stay alive.
‘Ghosted’ (2023)

‘Ghosted’ tells the story of Cole, an ordinary guy who quickly becomes infatuated with the mysterious Sadie. He soon learns she’s a secret agent, and before they can go on a second date, he’s pulled into a thrilling, globe-trotting adventure to save the world. As they face dangerous enemies and fight for survival, Cole and Sadie try to build a relationship, all while navigating the high-stakes world of international spying and explosive action.
‘The Family Plan 2’ (2025)

‘The Family Plan 2’ picks up with the Morgans on a European vacation, following the events of the first movie. Dan Morgan intends to create a perfect Christmas getaway, but someone from his past shows up, determined to settle an old score. This kicks off a thrilling chase across Europe, filled with car chases and robberies, as the family – led by a dad who used to be a top assassin – tries to outrun danger. The movie is a fast-paced action-comedy that focuses on the family’s adventures and relationships.
‘The Lost Bus’ (2025)

Inspired by the tragic 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California, ‘The Lost Bus’ tells the story of a school bus driver determined to save children stranded by the blaze. He’s joined by a committed teacher as they fight against the rapidly spreading flames. The film is based on Lizzie Johnson’s book, which recounts the true story of how twenty-two children were rescued during the disaster. To realistically portray the terrifying conditions of California’s deadliest wildfire, the filmmakers used practical effects.
‘Highest 2 Lowest’ (2025)

‘Highest 2 Lowest’ is a contemporary thriller inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s film ‘High and Low’. The story centers on a wealthy New York music executive who becomes the target of a kidnapping plot. However, a surprising turn of events reveals the criminals accidentally abducted the chauffeur’s child instead. The film’s main character then struggles with a difficult decision: should he pay a large ransom to save the life of someone he barely knows?
‘The Gorge’ (2025)

‘The Gorge’ follows two expert snipers stationed on opposite sides of a secluded, highly classified gorge. Though instructed to avoid all communication, they begin to connect with each other. When an ancient and dangerous force awakens within the gorge, these operatives must team up to fight for their lives against terrifying, radiation-mutated creatures. The story combines sci-fi action with the suspense of a survival horror.
‘Fountain of Youth’ (2025)

‘Fountain of Youth’ follows Luke Purdue, a discredited archaeologist, and his sister Charlotte as they team up for a worldwide treasure hunt. Using their expertise in history, they chase leads that point to the legendary Fountain of Youth. Their dangerous adventure takes them around the globe, with a ruthless woman named Esme and her crew hot on their heels. This thrilling quest could dramatically alter their lives and potentially unlock the secret to eternal life.
‘Eternity’ (2025)

When Joan dies, she finds herself at Junction, a way station for souls where everyone has one week to decide how they’ll spend eternity. She’s torn between two loves: her husband of sixty-five years, and a first love lost in the Korean War. Junction is run like a huge, official organization, with afterlife ‘coordinators’ explaining the rules of this final, permanent choice. The story uses humor and fantasy to explore big ideas about life, love, and what it means to be human.
‘F1’ (2025)

In the movie ‘F1’, veteran Formula One driver Sonny Hayes returns from a 30-year break to guide a promising young racer. He joins forces with his old teammate to rescue the struggling APXGP racing team from going bankrupt. The filmmakers used actual racing cars, modified for the actors to drive at incredible speeds. The film’s thrilling race scenes are based on real Grand Prix events and were created with the help of the FIA.
