As a dedicated follower of Hollywood news, I must say that it’s truly heartwarming to witness the bond between Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, two exceptional actors who have left an indelible mark on our screens. The upcoming sequel to Freaky Friday brings back nostalgic memories for many of us, and seeing these two legends reunite after all these years is simply magical.
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis recently posted an emotional message online, informing fans that they are nearing the end of filming for their upcoming fantasy comedy, Freakier Friday. This is a sequel to their cherished 2003 film, Freaky Friday, where Curtis stars alongside Lindsay Lohan. In her post, Curtis expressed gratitude for their time working together on set and appreciated the opportunity to reconnect with Lohan once more.
In June, Disney took to Instagram to reveal that production for the long-awaited follow-up to Freaky Friday has commenced, and along with this news, they unveiled a picture displaying Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan seated in front of their trailers, hinting at their return for another installment of the popular body-swap movie.
Curtis and Lohan are reprising their roles as Tess Coleman and Anna Coleman, respectively, the mother-daughter duo for the sequel. As the filming for the projects nears an end, the Halloween Ends actress recently shared a post featuring a selfie of herself. In the caption, she wrote a sweet note reflecting on the fond memories, mentioning, “The last FRIDAY of this FREAKIEST FRIDAY or shall I call it CRYDAY. We still have a couple days left next week, but it’s winding down.”
She mentioned, “This morning, upon arriving at work and observing the multitude of people gathering to film the movie in California, I feel incredibly thankful. A special gratitude is extended to my ‘movie daughter,’ Lohan, whose contributions were indispensable for making this very film possible.”
The Academy Award-winning actress added that her fellow actor had given her a Suzie Kondi shirt following her praise of Lohan’s, mentioning, “I wore it today in tribute to her (in the selfie I posted). She also conveyed her appreciation for the outpouring of love from Disney’s D23 event, calling it “iconic.”
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d like to share my own sentiments similar to those of Lindsay Lohan. I am deeply grateful for the extraordinary journey I’ve had with someone special, and I can’t help but express my heartfelt appreciation. The memories we’ve created together are priceless, and I eagerly anticipate more joyful moments in the future.
In the upcoming Freaky Friday sequel, we find a unique spin on the original story. The film follows Anna Coleman (Lohan) and Tess Coleman (Curtis) many years later, after their body-swapping incident involving magical fortune cookies. Now, Anna has a daughter and a stepdaughter, and as they struggle to blend their families, it seems that the peculiar event may have repeated itself.
Additionally, Curtis and Lohan won’t be the only familiar faces returning. Joining them are original cast members like Chad Michael Murray as Jake, Ryan Malgarini as Harry Coleman, Mark Harmon as Ryan, and Christina Vidal Mitchell as Maddie, along with others.
