As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I find myself deeply moved by the resilience and strength exhibited by TV personality Laura Perlongo during these challenging times. Her heartfelt Instagram post serves as a testament to the power of love, support, and gratitude in the face of adversity.
TV personality Laura Perlongo, who is married to Nev Schulman, is taking care of things while he recovers from serious injuries sustained in a bike accident this week. On social media, she posted an update about her husband’s recovery and the heartfelt messages of support they have received from their fans and well-wishers.
On Thursday, August 15, Perlongo shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, detailing how she searches for motivation and inspiration in everyday moments. As a mother of three, she also conveyed her appreciation towards doctors, nurses, and her loved ones who have stood by her during the challenging task of managing Schulman’s medication, as well as taking care of their children.
“This person expressed gratitude for the kindness and love they find both nearby and far, stating that it helps lift them out of difficult times, which they are deeply thankful for.”
In her post, Perlongo presented several snapshots to depict challenging moments, featuring the Dancing With the Stars alum’s “Fall Risk” bracelet and an image of a chipped fingernail. The initial slide included a fuzzy picture of their daughter, followed by a photo of a broccoli meal, and a snapshot of herself resting on a hospital couch.
She subtly indicated that the incident had negatively impacted her mental well-being but expressed gratitude for the “kindness and care” shown by others. Perlongo shared, “Ever since Nev’s bike mishap, I’ve been immersed in the disjointed haze of trauma,” and ended with a heartwarming video of herself and her mother embracing affectionately.
Expressing her feelings openly, she emphasized that she was “fairly resilient” when facing everything at once, but sudden bouts of sadness could momentarily shake her inner fortitude. “However,” she confessed with emotion, “I might unexpectedly gasp or find myself reaching for the water Nev used to leave beside my bed, only to realize it’s not there, and then I crumble entirely.”
Further on, the caption overflowed with appreciation and acknowledged those supporting Schulman’s recuperation. She specifically named each nurse she met during the incident and wrote small tokens of gratitude towards them.
On August 11, Nev Schulman shared via social media that he sustained a broken neck in a bike accident involving a truck. The incident occurred as he was headed to collect his son from school. He subsequently posted images from his hospital bed and X-rays of the wounds. (102 characters)
In simpler terms, the creator of Catfish didn’t attend his son’s school event, which turned out to be fortunate as he was the only one in the car when it collided with a truck and passed out. After being taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, he underwent spinal surgery performed by Dr. Mushlin. Perlongo expressed gratitude towards Dr. Mushlin for their professional and composed attitude during this difficult time.
Despite the fractures being steady, Schulman assured everyone that he’s no longer in immediate danger, and to clarify, he can move his hands, not being paralyzed as initially speculated.
In the year 2017, Laura Perlongo and Nev Schulman exchanged marriage vows and are currently parents to three children: Cleo James, aged 7, Beau Bobby Bruce, aged 5, and the youngest, Cy Monroe, who is 2 years old.
