Pikachu has announced a new generation of Pokémon games – Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves – and with them, the Gen 10 Starter Pokémon! Meet Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua – and prepare to fall in love! We’ve gathered everything we know about these adorable new starters, so let’s take a closer look at Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua.
The Gen 10 Starter Pokémon Are Here
The first Pokémon for the newest generation have been revealed! As usual, Pokémon Winds and Waves lets you choose from three starters: a Grass-type, a Fire-type, and a Water-type. This time, they’re a chick, a puppy, and a gecko – a fantastic lineup! You can see all three starters, Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua, in the images and learn more about each one individually.
Meet Browt, Pokémon Winds and Waves’ Grass-type Starter Pokémon
Let’s introduce Browt, the first of our Generation 10 Starter Pokémon! Browt is an Earth-type Pokémon, and we absolutely love it! This cute, bird-like Pokémon, nicknamed a “Bean Chick,” happily bounces around, using the leaves on its forehead to get energy from the sun. It’s full of life, though a little bit clumsy. Browt has the ability “Overgrow” and is quite small.
What Does Browt Evolve Into?
We think Browt might grow a plant on its head and begin to resemble a chicken. However, we’re still unsure what Pokémon it will eventually become.
Meet Pombon, Pokémon Winds and Waves’ Fire-type Starter Pokémon
Let’s talk about Pombon, who’s quickly become a fan favorite! Pombon is the Fire-type Starter Pokémon from Generation 10, and it’s known as the “Puppy Pokémon.” It’s undeniably adorable! According to official descriptions, Pombon has a heat-generating organ in its lungs that causes its throat to glow, and it’s known for being friendly and innocent. Its ability is called “Blaze.” Weighing in at around 15 pounds, Pombon is light enough to carry – just be careful it doesn’t get too hot!
What Does Pombon Evolve Into?
Pompon’s fluffy hair will probably grow even more, but we’re sure it will remain cute no matter how it evolves! Right now, though, we don’t yet know what Pokémon it will become.
Meet Gecqua, Pokémon Winds and Waves’ Water-type Starter Pokémon
Finally, we have Gecqua, our Water-type starter Pokémon, nicknamed Winds and Waves. Gecqua is a Water Gecko Pokémon with a bit of a mischievous personality. It can launch bouncy water balls from its tail and is known for being clever and a little bit dramatic – a true star! Gecqua’s special ability is called Torrent.
What Does Gecqua Evolve Into?
Gecqua will probably become more cunning and powerful as it evolves. However, we aren’t yet sure what its final evolved form will be.
