For several years now, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been embroiled in a legal dispute following their announcement of separation in 2016 when Angelina filed for divorce from him after their relationship ended, as she portrayed in Beyond Borders. Despite scarcely disclosing the causes behind their breakup in public discourse, Jolie once expressed that she decided to part ways with Pitt for the sake of her family’s “welfare.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, two celebrities often at the center of discussions, first crossed paths on the set of their 2005 action-comedy film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. In this movie, they portrayed a married couple. Subsequently, after some years had passed, they started dating following their collaboration on this project.

The actress also added that during their separation, her primary concern is the well-being of her children, referring to it as their “healing process”. She went on to express her disappointment that some individuals have exploited her silence, only to find false narratives about her kids circulating in the media. Nonetheless, Jolie emphasized that her children are aware of the truth and possess their own thoughts. She proudly stated, “My kids – Maddox, Pax Thien, Zahara Marley, Shiloh Nouvel, Knox Léon, and Vivienne Marcheline – are six incredibly brave and resilient young individuals.”

As reported by People magazine, there have been indications in July 2024 that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are moving closer to a divorce agreement, almost eight years after their separation. The source revealed that they are still discussing the outstanding issues regarding the divorce proceedings, but a final settlement has not yet been reached.
