Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc: Exploring Top 10 Tanjiro Moments

As a devoted fan of this captivating anime series, I must say that each episode of “Demon Slayer” is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and excitement. However, among all the moments that have left me breathless, the Hashira Training Arc stands out as one of the most memorable.

Despite many Shonen heroes being renowned for their cheerful demeanors, Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer stands out as the most heartwarming character. His optimistic approach to life in spite of adversity, coupled with his unyielding determination, is what draws viewers to him.

Beyond stating this, it’s crucial to note that it aids him in adopting the right mental attitude essential for overcoming the life-or-death conflicts with the demons he frequently encounters. During the Hasira Training arc, this characteristic of his was particularly noticeable.

Despite there being no monsters to battle, he outshone everyone and inspired his peers throughout their journey by consistently lifting their spirits and encouraging them in various ways. That’s why we’ve created this collection of his most memorable moments from the Hashira Training arc to allow fans to unwind and enjoy a daily dose of positivity all in one spot.

Top 10 Tanjiro Moments:

10. Tanjiro’s Hashira level skills

After the intense battles Tanjiro fought against Muzan Kibutsuji’s Upper Moon demons, it was clear that he had acquired strength and abilities on par with a Hashira. But his effortless completion of retired Sound Hasira Uzui Tengeni’s training served as strong evidence of this.

1. What stands out most about Tanjiro is his knack for adapting and learning during fights on the fly, a skill that ultimately earned him equal standing with the Hashiras. Furthermore, he inspired his companions who were enduring tough training regimens, encouraging them to persevere so they could all improve in preparation for the final battle where teamwork will be crucial.

9. The Empathetic Leader

One notable trait of Tanjiro is his knack for rallying everyone around him. Despite his youth, he manages to inspire not only Hashiras but also common soldiers. His peers value his advice because he approaches gently and often demonstrates leadership through action. This attribute was particularly evident in episode 6 when he told the other trainees that they would be crucial for his support.

He communicates that during the final fight against Muzan, those on the front lines will require vital backup and intelligence about the enemies’ positions, as without it, they won’t emerge victorious. The trainees take heart from his words and approach their training with renewed energy, feeling confident that even if they can’t be the strongest, they’ll become strong enough to offer support to those who are.

8. His unblemished honesty

Among Tanjiro’s notable characteristics is his sincerity, which means he never lies, avoids exaggerated self-praise when he feels undeserving, and maintains an honest demeanor in all situations. This trait was particularly evident during his training with the Stone Hashira Gyomei.

In response to being praised for saving the villagers rather than Nezuko, he swiftly corrected the misunderstanding. He explained that he hadn’t made a decision during the crisis and if it weren’t for Nezuko pushing him aside, the villagers might have faced a terrible fate.

In this significant instance, Gyomei, weighed down by his personal history and often skeptical, acknowledges Tanjiro’s honesty as truly exceptional, going so far as to praise him. This is a pivotal moment for both characters, as Tanjiro earns the trust of what appears to be the strongest Demon Slayer corps member, while Gyomei rediscovers his capacity to believe in the younger generation once more.

7. Winning Obanai’s almost impossible challenge

As a determined follower, I found myself squaring off against Obanai, the Snake Hashira, under Tanjiro’s inspiring example of unwavering spirit. The task he set seemed straightforward – dodge his blows and retaliate with one strike of my own. However, the challenge proved almost insurmountable due to Obanai’s agile sword, breathtaking speed, and decades of battle-hardened expertise.

Despite only having four days to master it, Tanjiro successfully completed the challenge, demonstrating his resilience and knack for navigating through life’s obstacles. Though Obanai remained dismissive of him, he reluctantly acknowledged Tanjiro’s strength.

6. The curious case of the Red Bean Mochi

When Tanjiro enters a battle between Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa and Water Hashira Tomioka Giyuu, he incorrectly believes they are arguing over Red Bean Mochi. The situation becomes even more amusing when hearing his reasoning, as Sanemi appears puzzled and Tanjiro continues by explaining that he drew this conclusion because the former often has a strong aroma of the dessert.

Disappointed and bewildered by the unexpected change in course, Sanemi departs from the training area following his confrontation with Tanjiro. Yet, his actions appear to backfire, as Giyuu subsequently informs Tanjiro that he intends to employ what he’s learned as a means to foster friendship with the Wind Hashira instead.

What’s particularly humorous about this scenario is that Tanjiro never seems to entertain the idea that he could be wrong. This adds another layer to his already comedic knack for unwitting humor.

5. Helping Giyuu overcome his insecurities

Previously stated, Tanjiro possesses an exceptional ability to inspire not only ordinary individuals but even the esteemed Hashiras. This talent was evident when Kagaya Ubuyashiki, leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, entrusted him with reaching Giyuu, a task that others had failed at. Despite Giyuu frequently rebuffing him and retreating into solitude due to misplaced feelings of being unworthy to hold the title of Hashira, Tanjiro persisted in his efforts to connect with him.

Relentlessly, he dismantled Giyuu’s defensive walls, causing him to understand that despite feelings of unworthiness, he should honor his friend’s sacrifice and desires, ensuring no other children meet such a tragic end. Fortunately, Giyuu heeded this counsel and enrolled in Hashira training, offering the soldiers another chance to showcase their abilities.

4. Reuniting the Shinazugawa siblings

Tanjiro’s caring and assisting personality extends far beyond normal limits. This became clear when he intervened to prevent the Upper Moon Six demon siblings from quarreling and abusing each other in their final moments, as they had no one else but themselves. Consequently, it is not unexpected that he endeavors to reconnect Genya with his elder brother Sanemi.

In the heart-wrenching tale of my favorite characters, the heartbreaking loss of their entire family to a demon attack left an unhealable chasm between them. Upon discovering that Genya sustains himself by consuming demons to keep fighting and rejuvenate his body, it sent Sanemi into a furious rage, escalating their altercation to the brink of disaster.

If Tanjiro hadn’t stepped in during the altercation between the brothers, things could have escalated severely. While Tanjiro’s action led to him being barred from further training under Sanemi, he remained resilient and encouraged Genya not to abandon hope for his brother.

3. Moving the boulder

At Stone Hashira’s training camp, Tanjiro faced a fresh hurdle as the trainees were ordered to transport a massive rock over a considerable distance using just their bare hands to complete the exercise. Determined and hardworking Tanjiro, he gave his utmost strength to accomplish this task.

Despite remaining stationary, the boulder doesn’t budge. It’s Genya who steps in, teaching Tanjiro a technique to complete the mission. This scene highlights not only Tanjiro’s capacity for assisting others but also his willingness to learn. The display of humility plays a crucial role in him completing the Hashira training, thus positioning him alongside the strongest members within the corps.

2. Bonding with Muichiro

The Mist Hashira Tokito Muichiro found an incredible friend in Tanjiro. Once, with his memory and personality lost, his life revolved around killing demons. However, after he regained his memories, his endearing personality shone through, making him a fan-favorite character.

Due to Tanjiro’s impact on helping him regain his memories, their bond became one of the most heartwarming sights. This was further emphasized when during the training camp, Tanjiro proposed a paper plane flying competition with the condition that if he won, Muichiro would be kinder to the soldiers.

Because Muichiro is passionate about sports, he readily accepts, thus providing the trainee soldiers with a much-needed break from their rigorous regimen. The atmosphere became even more heartwarming when the trainees participated in the competition, turning it into an enjoyable team-building activity that relaxed everyone.

1. Confronting Muzan

The most memorable event throughout the entire season might have been when Tanjiro faced Muzan for the first time in a crucial confrontation. At the peak of the storyline, with Muzan cornered by Corps members following Ubuyashiki’s selfless act, Tanjiro was given an opportunity to gaze upon the individual who brought misery to countless people, including himself.

Unwaveringly determined, Tanjiro surged ahead, fully prepared to intervene and eradicate the wickedness from the world forever. This undeniably stirring scene is destined to be a topic of conversation among fans for many years, sending shivers down spines.

The Hashira Training arc was filled with laughter, tears, excitement, and camaraderie. Not only that, but the surprising ending has left fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming showdown. Don’t miss out when it hits the big screen, and stay tuned to our site for further announcements!
