As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for pop culture and a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling, I must say that the potential sequel to Modern Family is a highly anticipated event in the TV world. With Sofia Vergara‘s charming wit and charisma as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, the show has been a staple in many homes for over a decade.
Sofia Vergara is subtly suggesting the possibility of another installment in the Modern Family series. The actress, known for her portrayal of Gloria Delgado in the beloved sitcom which spanned 11 seasons, has hinted at a reunion with her co-star Ed O’Neill. Fans of the show eagerly anticipate seeing the ensemble back together on television again, and Vergara seems to be encouraging this prospect.
In her recent chat with Variety, the actress shared that the next installment in the series could be delayed a bit. At the same time, she’s returned to judge shows like America’s Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and others.
Regarding her Modern Family co-star, Vergara playfully commented to a media outlet, “I often tease him.” She added humorously, “‘Ed, don’t pass away. If we make a sequel, it might take some time, and you’re the eldest among us. You can’t be deceased!'”
As a die-hard fan, I’ve been enamored with the captivating performances of the Grisdela actress on that beloved TV show for an incredible 12 years. She breathed life into the character who was Jay Pritchett’s devoted wife, creating memories that will last a lifetime. In one remarkable season of the ongoing series, she even received an Emmy Award nomination – though she didn’t take home the trophy, her star power soared!
Sofia (the voice actress from Despicable Me) discussed her time working on Modern Family’s set, which aired on ABC from 2009 to 2020. She once expressed her enthusiasm by saying, “I’d give anything to be there.” When asked about potential ideas for the sequel, Vergara playfully suggested, “Why not a TV film or perhaps something similar?”
Behind the scenes, Vergara and the cast of Married… With Children shared a warm, respectful bond.
Currently, the actress is immersed in publicizing her Netflix series titled “Grisdela.” This show will revolve around Grisdela Blanco, a notorious underworld drug lord who met her end in 2012. Vergara plays a role as one of the producers, and she has been honored with an Emmy Award nomination for her work on this project. Since she’s also been recognized for another Emmy nod in her acting career, it means that Vergara has earned two Emmy nominations so far.
In addition to Vergara and O’Neill, the cast of Modern Family also includes Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould, Ariel Winter, and several other talented actors.
All seasons of Modern Family are available to stream on the Disney+ platform.
