As a seasoned Marvel gamer with over two decades of comics under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement as the battle between The Hulk and Thor unfolds in the upcoming issue of Marvel Zombies: Dawn of Decay #2. The anticipation is palpable, and the thought of these two titans clashing in an apocalyptic landscape filled with zombies is almost too much to bear!
Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is primarily concentrating on Robert Downey Jr.’s comeback as Victor Von Doom, one of Marvel’s most formidable antagonists, Marvel’s comic books are independently carrying on their narrative threads. This means that beloved storylines and characters are being developed and expanded upon, a topic we will delve into in this report.
The story we are going to focus on comes from the newest Marvel Zombies comic book storyline, an alternative universe story written by Thomas Krajewski. Groot will also be present, although his role remains unclear; it’s likely he’ll act as a peacekeeper in this thrilling clash.

Bruce Banner is on a mission to reach the Avengers Tower to create an antidote for a virus that has turned New York into a city of zombies. Meanwhile, Groot is tasked with guiding the uncontrollable beast through the horde, but things get tricky when an undead Thor joins the fray. To prevent Hulk from annihilating his fellow Avenger, Groot must think quickly!
