As a longtime fan of the Daredevil series, I can hardly contain my excitement for “Daredevil: Born Again.” The return of Punisher and Kingpin, coupled with a surprising connection to “Ms. Marvel” and the introduction of new characters like White Tiger and Muse, has me on the edge of my seat.
The highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) TV show “Daredevil: Born Again” is being reimagined to a considerable extent from its original Netflix series concept. Originally planned as a soft restart, it’s now more likely to serve as a sequel, taking into account the Defenders saga’s status as part of the MCU continuity.
In the newest D23 announcement, it’s confirmed that The Punisher and Kingpin are coming back, and they’ll likely be working with Daredevil on some deal. Moreover, a shocking link to “Ms. Marvel” is hinted at, as Yusuf Khan appears in a trailer snapshot.
In addition to White Tiger and Muse, the series will feature both characters prominently, particularly positioning Muse as a significant adversary. The show is anticipated to be filled with intense action, as Charlie Cox suggests it may even surpass the famous long-take fight scene from “Daredevil” on Netflix, featuring single-shot combat sequences.
During an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Vincent D’Onofrio (reprising his role as Wilson Fisk) hinted that the action in the new series will outdo the original one. He shared that some actions performed by his character left him amazed to see them appear in the show’s final version.
Vincent D’Onofrio gives a sneak peek into the intense violence that viewers can anticipate in the forthcoming #DaredevilBornAgain series.

In this new version of the series, certain aspects are pushed to greater extremes compared to the original. One specific element that surprises me is a move my character makes – it’s hard to believe they actually included it in the final edit.
Considering Marvel’s recent trend towards mature content, we find D’Onofrio’s statements credible. With Kingpin already leaving a strong impression in the TV-MA rated “Echo” miniseries, which showcased intense violence, it’s reasonable to anticipate that “Daredevil: Born Again” will further explore mature themes.
“Disney+’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is set to debut in March 2025. This thrilling series spans 18 episodes, split evenly into two parts with nine episodes for each segment. It forms an essential part of Phase Five within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
