‘Irritated By Him’: George Clooney Responds To Quentin Tarantino’s Comments On His Film Career

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood dynamics, I find myself often reflecting on the intriguing interplay of personalities that shape the film industry. The recent spat between George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino, two heavyweights in their own right, is a testament to the complex web of relationships that exist within this creative realm.

George Clooney has spoken out regarding director Quentin Tarantino, following Tarantino’s somewhat controversial remarks about him. The esteemed filmmaker has expressed his thoughts on the movie career of the actor from “Ticket to Paradise.”

George Clooney and Brad Pitt are set to appear together in their upcoming movie titled “Wolfs”. In a recent interview with GQ magazine, the pair discussed various topics, including comments made by Quentin Tarantino. Notably, Clooney expressed some frustration towards Tarantino, saying, “I’ve got a bit of a beef with him.”

Continuing with the interview conversation, Clooney revealed that the director of Django Unchained had given an interview where he mentioned several Hollywood actors such as Brad Pitt and others. George then stated that when the filmmaker was asked about his opinion on George Clooney, “He responded, ‘he’s not a movie star.'”

Later, Clooney remembered that Tarantino had inquired about the one film he’d starred in since the new millennium that had been successful. Upon hearing this, Clooney was taken aback and responded, “Since the millennium? That seems to encompass most of my career, actually.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Clooney’s statement was based on an interview conducted by Deadline columnist Baz Bamigboye with the Reservoir Dogs director in July of last year.

In the previously mentioned interview, Tarantino mentioned Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio as potential film stars, but did not identify George Clooney in that context.

According to Tarantino’s statements during his interview with Bamigboye, he questioned when George Clooney last had a box office success in this current millennium.

Although these remarks had put a smile on Brad’s face, Clooney certainly was not happy with them during the GQ interview.  While swearing a bit, an angered George Clooney expressed his emotions in opposition to the Kill Bill: Volume 1 director’s comments.

Discussing his years in Hollywood, George Clooney acknowledged that he and his “Wolf” collaborator Brad Pitt were fortunate to collaborate with such exceptional filmmakers.

The movie titled “Wolfs” is a thrilling action-comedy written by Jon Watts. Notable actors like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan are among the talented ensemble in this film.

The AppleTV+ movie will be released on September 27, 2024.
