As a long-time Marvel fan with memories of waiting in line for hours to get my hands on a comic book, the latest ‘Thunderbolts*’ trailer has me more excited than a kid on Christmas morning! With its gritty anti-hero vibe reminiscent of DC’s Suicide Squad and the stellar cast, I can barely contain my anticipation.
As a long-time Marvel Comics fan, I eagerly awaited this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) and D23 events, knowing they would bring exciting news about the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). One announcement that truly piqued my interest was the upcoming ‘Thunderbolts’ movie. Being a fan of anti-hero teams in comics, I couldn’t help but draw parallels between this new project and DC’s Suicide Squad.
Initially, the exclusive trailer was unveiled at SDCC and D23, but it’s since been leaked online. Below, you’ll find the full trailer that gives a thrilling sneak peek into various crucial aspects of the production. Enjoy!

As I eagerly watch the latest trailer, I find myself immersed in the world of Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), as she pays a visit to her adoptive father, Red Guardian (David Harbour), expressing her work-related concerns. The scene then transitions into an electrifying fight sequence involving Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), all set to the pulsating beats of The Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind.” As these characters collide, they come to a startling realization: they’ve been manipulated into confronting each other.
One intriguing aspect of the trailer is the initial appearance of Sentry. While specifics are sparse, it’s evident that he boasts an indestructible body, and his distinctive costume (indicated by a belt buckle) could make a future debut in the movie. Furthermore, Ghost and Taskmaster display significantly altered costumes in this cinematic outing.
‘Thunderbolts’ has sparked enthusiasm among many viewers, a feeling that’s widespread, even considering the complexities faced during production, such as the SAG-AFTRA strike. As of now, the movie is slated for a theater release on May 2, 2025.
