Recently, Blake Lively disclosed that she knew Isabela Ferrer was perfect for portraying the younger version of her character, Lily Bloom, in their recent romantic drama “It Ends With Us”. Justin Baldoni directed the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 bestselling novel and plays Ryle Kincaid, Lively’s romantic interest.
Blake Lively recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about her latest movie, It Ends With Us. She also disclosed a fascinating moment when she watched Isabela Ferrer’s audition tape and felt they had discovered someone extraordinary who could perfectly portray the younger version of Lilly Bloom, her character in the film. Lively recollected, “There were other talented actresses with impressive performances, but there was simply no one else quite like her [Ferrer].”
She pointed out that despite Ferrer not sharing her appearance, demeanor, or even a mole, it was her powerful performance and strong heart that captured their attention.
The actress portraying Green Lantern also shared that it was essential to convey the story with a focus on “compassion, understanding, and compassionate perspectives,” highlighting that her character, Lily, is aware of her past and future but remains lost and continues to explore herself more deeply. She underscored that “grace and compassion” are vital elements of Lily’s character.
During the interview, Isabela Ferrer shared her feelings about being cast alongside Lively in the upcoming film. She explained that, given the significance of the movie and the author Colleen Hoover, it was a tremendous honor for her to be considered for the role of young Blake Lively in the project.
Currently, the movie “It Ends With Us” is being shown in cinemas. The story revolves around Lily Bloom, a character who bravely moves past her troubled childhood to pursue her dreams. During this journey, she encounters neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni), and they develop a strong bond. However, as their love deepens, Lily begins to notice certain aspects of Ryle that echo her parents’ relationship. Matters become even more intricate when her former lover, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar), reappears, causing disruption in her current partnership.
