Daredevil: Born Again Gets Major Update At D23 Expo With New Footage And Cast Reunion Ft Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio And Others

As a hardcore Marvel enthusiast with a soft spot for the gritty and gut-wrenching tales of Daredevil, I must say that the latest revelations about “Daredevil: Born Again” have sent my heart racing faster than Matt Murdock scaling a skyscraper. The D23 Expo 2024 was nothing short of a dream come true for us fans, offering a glimpse into the life and times of our favorite Man Without Fear.

The much-awaited series “Daredevil: Born Again,” being developed by Marvel Studios, is generating immense anticipation among fans. With the original Netflix series and “Man Without Fear” enthusiasts eagerly waiting for updates on their favorite street-level superhero, the D23 Expo 2024 fueled excitement as it approached.

At the much praised event taking place from August 9th to 11th, attendees were given an initial peek at their favorite attorney, Matt Murdock. The clips presented at the D23 Expo were described by Slash Film as being “rough and gritty.”

Additionally, they mentioned that the forthcoming Disney+ series will maintain a similar atmosphere as its Netflix counterpart, given that recent previews show Daredevil brutally defeating opponents until they become insensate.

In the initial sequence of Daredevil: Born Again, we find Matt Murdock in deep thought, acting as a lawyer for another Marvel superhero, the White Tiger.

For those unaware, White Tiger is a vigilante with power gained from a magical tiger-themed amulet.

However, the trailer also brings in Muse, an infamous Daredevil villain with a similar black-and-white costume to the White Tiger.

According to The Direct’s report, it appears that Bullseye, a longtime adversary of Daredevil from the comics who made an appearance in season 3 of the Netflix series, will find himself incarcerated at the beginning of Daredevil: Born Again.

As Matt Murdock is spoken to through prison bars with the words, “The world needs a hero,” a separate scene from D23 reveals Wilson Fisk ominously surveying the cityscape from a rooftop, as reported by Slash Films.

Audience members at the recent D23 Expo were thrilled to learn that John Bernthal will once again play The Punisher, this time alongside Charlie Cox as Daredevil. In the new footage presented, The Punisher is depicted forcibly shoving Matt against a locker while readying a hatchet to strike him.

In the near future, I’ll witness a chilling spectacle: Wilson Fisk brutally subduing an individual, while I stand by. Meanwhile, Matt Mysterio will reveal a collection of Daredevil masks, each vibrant in color, hidden within a cabinet.

In a diner, both Matt and Wilson Fisk encounter each other, and at one point, the adversary queries the attorney about the advice he’s received: “Is this warning coming from Matt Murdock, or perhaps another side of you?”

In “Daredevil: Born Again,” we see the return of fan favorites like Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk (a.k.a. the Kingpin), Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson, who reprises his role as Matt Murdock’s friend, Foggy Nelson.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.
