This week, Hulu is adding a lot of new shows and movies, including suspenseful dramas, popular anime, and classic reality TV. You’ll find everything from early travel shows featuring the late chef Anthony Bourdain to a new comedy game show hosted by Nate Bargatze. These new additions, launching between February 23rd and March 1st, include both older favorites and brand new series, so fans of animation, true crime, and even medical comedies are sure to find something they’ll enjoy.
‘Pretty Cure’ (2004)

The popular ‘Pretty Cure’ magical girl series starts streaming a new installment on February 23rd. It centers on two middle schoolers, Nagisa and Honoka, who transform into the powerful warriors Cure Black and Cure White. They team up to defend Earth from the threats of the Dark Zone and search for the mythical Prism Stones. This series laid the foundation for the themes of strong friendships and action-packed battles that have become hallmarks of the ‘Pretty Cure’ franchise.
‘Paradise’ (2025)

The new drama series, created by Dan Fogelman, premieres on February 23th. Starring Sterling K. Brown, it follows a security expert who works in a gated community for the world’s elite. As he uncovers secrets and political schemes, the community’s peace is put at risk. This project reunites Fogelman and Brown, who previously worked together on several popular TV shows.
‘The Greatest Average American’ (2026)

Nate Bargatze, a popular comedian, hosts a new game show coming to Hulu on February 26th, shortly after it airs on TV. The show is all about celebrating being perfectly ordinary, and contestants compete in trivia and funny challenges to prove they understand how the average American thinks and lives. The winner gets a prize that reflects that relatability: $67,920 – the average American salary.
‘Scrubs’ (2001–2010)

Starting Thursday, February 26th, you can stream the hilarious and heartwarming medical comedy ‘Scrubs’. The show follows the lives of doctors and nurses at the made-up Sacred Heart Hospital, with funny and insightful narration from intern J.D. ‘Scrubs’ is known for its special mix of silly humor, dreamlike scenes, and genuinely touching moments. Fans can once again enjoy the memorable relationship between J.D. and the often-sarcastic Dr. Cox as they deal with the challenges of working in healthcare.
‘Spy x Family’ (2022)

The popular anime series ‘Spy x Family’ premieres on February 27th, offering a fun mix of action and heartwarming family moments. The story centers around a skilled spy, known as Twilight, who has to create a fake family – the Forgers – to complete a crucial peace mission. What he doesn’t realize is that his wife is a trained assassin and his adopted daughter can read minds, meaning they both know his true identity! The show follows this unusual trio as they try to keep up appearances while unexpectedly developing real feelings for each other.
‘sMothered’ (2019)

The reality show ‘sMothered’ is back on February 28th. The series focuses on the incredibly close – and sometimes shocking – relationships between mothers and their grown daughters. Each episode follows these pairs as they go about their daily lives, often causing confusion or annoyance for the rest of their families and partners. It showcases the strong bonds and often unusual dynamics within these families where boundaries aren’t always clear.
‘A Killer Among Friends’ (2025)

“A Killer Among Friends” premieres on Saturday, February 28th, and explores a shocking crime that shatters the trust within a group of friends. The series investigates what happened after the tragedy, and how investigators searched for the killer who was hiding in the group all along. Through interviews and recreations of events, the show reveals the emotional toll of betrayal on those who knew the victim, and how secrets can destroy even the closest friendships.
‘Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations’ (2005–2012)

As a total film and TV buff, I’m thrilled to hear that Anthony Bourdain’s incredible travel and food series is becoming available on February 28th. It’s more than just a show about food, though – it’s about really experiencing different cultures. Bourdain didn’t do the typical tourist thing; he dug deep, exploring history and traditions through the amazing food each place had to offer. What always struck me was how real and honest it was, and how much it focused on connecting with people and sharing meals – it’s truly a landmark show that redefined food media, and it’s still hugely influential today.
