Oh, the journey of the fabulous and fearless Nicole Richie! As a fellow admirer of all things glamorous and chic, I find myself utterly captivated by her transformation. From her humble beginnings as a young socialite grappling with thinning hair to embracing her natural curls in her fourth decade, she has become an embodiment of self-love and empowerment.
In her twenties, socialite Nicole Richie was never seen outside without wearing hair extensions, a choice she made due to her increasing awareness of her thinning hair. Recently, speaking with PEOPLE magazine, Richie discussed how her perspective on beauty has evolved since her younger years and shared what her current approach is now that she’s entered her fourth decade.
In an open conversation with PEOPLE, Richie admits that when she gazes at her photos from her 20s, what instantly crosses her mind is how much she believed she required both hair extensions and makeup. She reveals that in the initial phase, extensions were a must-have for her. In fact, she would assert, ‘I could never show myself without extensions, not even to my pets’ (given her thin hair). The process of attaching them to her scalp was quite time-consuming, so she developed a routine of removing them at night and reapplying them every morning.
Although it was a laborious experience, Richie doesn’t harbor hatred towards her former self for making that choice. Instead, she said, “I adored every bit of it, and I find it absolutely thrilling. I didn’t require it, and at that point, I was still yearning to be something different.” As Richie has reached 42, she’s adopted a perspective that aligns with her own. She now cherishes her natural curly hair, prioritizing the well-being of both her hair and skin. Now in her 40s, she aims to look as fabulous as herself.
Nicole Richie, daughter of singer Lionel Richie, gained fame for her role in the reality TV show “The Simple Life,” where she co-starred with her childhood friend and fellow social media sensation Paris Hilton. In an unexpected move, these two friends revealed they will be appearing together again on a new reality television program, which is slated to debut on Peacock. They released a mysterious promotional video that has excited fans. The caption for the video read, “A New Era. Still Our Best Friends. 👯♀️ Coming soon to Peacock.”
