World Record Alert – Godzilla and Kong Take Over the Sky in Epic 3,000-Drone Show

Hollywood came alive last night with an incredible drone show featuring Godzilla and Kong. Over 3,000 drones created a breathtaking aerial display – the tallest of its kind ever seen – reaching almost 500 feet above the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It was a truly spectacular sight!

The 12-minute show highlighted the Alpha Titans preparing to fight, using drones to recreate Godzilla’s famous atomic breath. Event organizers said Godzilla, Kong, and the new Titan X dominated the Los Angeles skyline, and the display was massive – visible from more than three miles away.

Okay, let me tell you, the tech behind this MonsterVerse event was insane. It wasn’t just a spectacle, it was a full-blown launchpad for their return. They used drones – and I mean a lot of drones – to build these 3D models that were absolutely enormous, like three football fields put together! And get this – it officially broke a Guinness World Record for the sheer height of it all. It really set the stage and got me hyped for what’s to come.

The premiere event for the new series, playfully dubbed “monster marketing,” featured stars Kurt and Wyatt Russell. Composer Leopold Ross created a dramatic musical score that amplified the tension as giant creatures appeared to tower over the city’s famous landmarks.

Season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premieres February 27th, and will be available only on Apple TV+. Following the dramatic ending of season one, the new season—which has 10 episodes—moves the story to the perilous landscapes of Skull Island.

The show keeps weaving together different time periods, with the Russells playing both the older and younger versions of Colonel Lee Shaw. Familiar faces like Anna Sawai (as Cate Randa), Kiersey Clemons (as May), and Ren Watabe (as Kentaro) are back, dealing with the consequences of their trip to the Hollow Earth.

Season 2 features several new cast members, including Amber Midthunder (known for her role in Prey) as Isabel, a strong and influential businesswoman connected to the Titans. Joining them are Takehiro Hira, Cliff Curtis, and Dominique Tipper, as the show explores the secrets of the Monarch organization in more detail.

The popular series “Age of Monsters” continues to grow, with several spinoffs planned and a new movie expected in March 2027. The new season will be released weekly on Fridays, building to a big finale on May 1st.
