‘I Can Keep Secrets Too’: Chris Hemsworth Addresses His Brief Role In Deadpool & Wolverine

As a die-hard Marvel fan with a heart full of nostalgia for the iconic pairing of Deadpool and Wolverine, I can hardly contain my excitement over the recent developments in the Deadpool 3 saga! The cameos from Chris Evans, Henry Cavill, Blake Lively, and of course, the enigmatic Chris Hemsworth as a teary-eyed Thor have sent shockwaves through the Marvel community.

Ever since its initial promotions, the duo of Deadpool and Wolverine has consistently grabbed attention from fans. Now that the movie is out, it’s creating quite a buzz, especially with the iconic appearances of Chris Evans, Henry Cavill, and Blake Lively. In Marvel’s recent release, Chris Hemsworth’s cameo as Thor in Deadpool 3 is another hot topic. Interestingly, his character has been frequently discussed as “Thor in tears.”

In terms of the depicted scene, Thor (the Asgardian) is shown cradling a wounded Deadpool (Wade Wilson) in his arms, tears streaming down his face. Earlier, Ryan Reynolds had posted a photo of this moment on his X-related account, captioned “I now understand why Thor was crying. I can’t unsee it.” In response to Reynolds’ tweet, Chris Hemsworth re-shared the post and wrote, “I too can keep secrets.”

Fan excitement is building as Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) share intriguing comments on social media, leading viewers to wonder if these two characters might interact in future Marvel films. Given the current narrative, such an encounter seems distant, but with Robert Downey Jr.’s return as a villain in the MCU, fans are optimistic that unexpected crossovers could happen, provided Kevin Feige supports and greenlights this unique collaboration within the franchise.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always admired the Marvel universe and its iconic characters. While Thor has been a staple Avenger for years, the entrance of Deadpool into the cinematic world is still fresh and captivating. What sets Deadpool apart, though, is his unique combat history, which hasn’t earned him an official Avenger title yet.

During this time, he was additionally enlisted for Steve Rogers’ Avengers Unity Team, where he worked alongside Havok, Rogue, and Black Widow. In a different universe as depicted in the comic Secret Empires, Steve Rogers was revealed to be a HYDRA version, with his squad including Deadpool. This narrative also introduced us to the Evil Avengers, a plotline that could potentially bring together Wade Wilson and Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans eagerly await the possible comeback of the Asgardian character in both Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, but no official confirmation has been given by the creators as of yet. The planned Avengers films are set to premiere in cinemas in May 2026 and May 2027 respectively.
