As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for emerging talent and a deep appreciation for artists who bring a unique blend of humor and musicality to their craft, I must say that Sabrina Carpenter continues to impress me time and again. Her recent performance at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater was not only a testament to her vocal prowess but also showcased her knack for delivering intimate, heartfelt moments that resonate with her audience.
Everyone was taken aback when the 25-year-old artist, Sabrina Carpenter, spontaneously performed a fresh track called “Slim Pickins” off her forthcoming album titled “Short N’ Sweet.”
On August 2nd, the 26-year-old artist took the stage at the Clive Davis Theater, which is part of the Grammy Museum located in Los Angeles. This event featured the singer participating in a discussion, delivering a performance, and being joined by Jack Antonoff for a special appearance.
The carpenter chose to perform simplified renditions of her popular tunes while seated on a stool, using only a few musical tools. This minimalistic approach created an intimate atmosphere that made the performance truly special.
In a certain moment, she mentioned, “I found this one adorable, and I felt like singing it particularly for you today.” The 26-year-old further explained, “It was quite unexpected of me, so I named it ‘Slim Pickins.’ I truly hope you enjoy it.”
Apart from that, she captivated the crowd by performing her renowned tunes “Espresson” and “Please Please Please” on stage during the occasion. For this performance, she wore a mid-length blue dress featuring a heart cutout. Her long hair was left loose, and she completed her look with nude heels.
Earlier, the singer openly expressed her thoughts on the widespread popularity of Espresso. In her conversation with Rolling Stone, she shared that she appreciates how people seem to understand and enjoy her sense of humor in it.
One of the beloved aspects about Carpenter is her wit. Numerous clips showcasing her playful antics during performances have been widely shared online. In an interview, Carpenter mentioned that her hit song was sparked after a trip to a Crêperie in France. She further explained, “I chose to pass on that responsibility to others.”
According to Teen Vogue, the singer announced in June that her sixth album, titled “Short & Sweet,” would be released on August 23. After that, she also disclosed the tour dates for the “Short & Sweet Tour.”

Meanwhile, there’s chatter suggesting that her relationship with actor Barry Keoghan might have recently concluded.
There’s been buzz online about this, as the singer shared a mysterious TikTok video with the caption “Saying goodbye because I wasn’t his most popular artist,” while the song ‘Please Please Please’ was playing, according to Teen Vogue.
It’s unclear whether they’re still together or have split up, as neither of them has publicly shared their current relationship status.
