Aside from attending glamorous events, Taylor-Johnson is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors right now, with several big projects coming out this year. He recently appeared in the successful horror film 28 Years Later, which transitioned from theaters to streaming.
He’s also starring in the medieval horror movie Werwulf with Willem Dafoe, currently being finalized for a release later in 2024. Critics are already predicting he’ll receive award nominations for his performance in Tom Ford’s new historical drama, Cry to Heaven, set in 18th-century Venice and also featuring Nicholas Hoult. Finally, he’s wrapped up filming the action-thriller Blood on Snow, based on a Jo Nesbø novel, where he plays a hitman with a complex sense of right and wrong.
Everyone is still wondering if he’ll be the next James Bond. Bookmakers currently list him as a leading contender to replace Daniel Craig. Although Amazon MGM Studios hasn’t made any official announcements, his recent appearance with Omega—a brand closely associated with the Bond films—has intensified the speculation that he could be the next 007.
The British actor is skillfully changing how people see him, moving from known action roles to more sophisticated leading parts. He brings a compelling presence to every role, whether it’s a character from the past like a medieval hunter or a contemporary detective, and consistently demonstrates growth with each new project.
