Jamie Lee Curtis Throws Shade at MCU’s Entire Phase 5 with One Word

As a seasoned movie enthusiast with a rich background in Hollywood, I can wholeheartedly agree with Jamie Lee Curtis‘ assessment of the current state of the MCU. Having witnessed the evolution of storytelling and cinematic excellence over several decades, it’s disheartening to see a once-great franchise struggle to deliver compelling narratives.

Over the past few years, if you’re part of the MCU fanbase, it’s hard to miss the rise in negative feedback about their productions. Following ‘Endgame’, there seems to be a decline in the studio’s ability to deliver engaging narratives, with many critics labeling the writing as poor quality or even terrible.

Furthermore, it’s been widely questioned if the studio is making the right choices by swapping key Avengers characters for ones that a lot of people feel are unnecessary or dull.

Lately, most new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) productions have struggled financially, with exceptions like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.’ This film was both well-received by critics and successful commercially. However, ‘The Marvels,’ the highly anticipated sequel to the ‘Captain Marvel’ series, has faced significant financial losses, becoming the lowest-grossing MCU movie ever made.

It’s not only fans who are expressing that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) isn’t doing well right now; even industry professionals in Hollywood are having this discussion. During her San Diego Comic-Con appearance, Jamie Lee Curtis was queried about which phase the MCU is currently in, and she candidly replied, “Bad.”

On multiple occasions, the actress has criticized the renowned superhero series, and in 2022, Jamie Lee Curtis publicly compared her movie ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ to ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ She pointed out that both films delve into the multiverse theme. Curtis claimed that ‘Doctor Strange’ copied the artwork from her film and asserted that ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once,’ despite its limited budget, surpasses Marvel’s production. The actress admired the emotional depth, visual allure, acting talents, and combat sequences of her movie, stating it accomplished more with fewer financial resources.

Could it be that only I find it peculiar, or am I not alone in this thought, that our small yet phenomenal film, which has achieved and surpassed the success of #1movieinamerica and is genuinely marvelous, outshines any Marvel movie currently released? It’s intriguing that a Marvel movie from @everythingeverywheremovie is set to come out with a poster reminiscent of our own. Is this perhaps an instance of creative competition or internet-based rivalry?

Fantastic! It boasts a powerful pulse and stunning aesthetic delights, outstanding acting and thrilling beastly battle sequences… And the best part? It’s more affordable than the entire catering budget for Doctor Strange and comparable Marvel productions.

“Are you up for a challenge? Absolutely! I didn’t become the star cheerleader in high school without a fight, and here’s a little extra – our film includes an intense dildo fight sequence, along with a quite sensual hotdog-hand choreography scene, all set to rocking music.”

As a passionate gamer, I’ve got to express my thoughts on the recent awards season. Jamie Lee Curtis truly deserved her Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” In my gaming world, I’d rate this movie higher than “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” although both have their unique charm. It’s a bit amusing to hear claims that “Doctor Strange” somehow ripped off her film. After all, multiverses and mind-bending realities are common themes in today’s storytelling, right? But each tale tells its own story in a unique way!
