Eric Church and Noah Kahan Among Stars Set To Perform at Robbie Robertson Tribute Concert; DEETS

As a lifelong fan of Robbie Robertson‘s extraordinary music and captivating storytelling, I can hardly contain my excitement for this upcoming tribute concert. The lineup is nothing short of breathtaking, featuring an array of talent that spans generations and genres – a testament to the far-reaching impact Robertson had on the world of music.

On October 17, 2024, Robbie Robertson, the founding member of The Band, will be celebrated during a memorial concert called “Life Is a Carnival: A Musical Tribute to Robbie Robertson” at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. This event is held to honor the legendary musician who passed away in August 2023 at the age of 80 after a long illness.

At the concert, you’ll see a wide variety of artists taking the stage, with acts like Trey Anastasio, Noah Kahan, and Eric Church being among them. Additionally, notable performers such as Jim James, Jamey Johnson, Van Morrison, Margo Price, Robert Randolph, Nathaniel Rateliff, Allison Russell, Mavis Staples, Benmont Tench, Ryan Bingham, Mike Campbell, Eric Clapton, Elvis Costello, Warren Haynes, Bruce Hornsby, Daniel Lanois, and Taj Mahal are also scheduled to perform.

Jared Levine, Keith Wortman, and Martin Scorsese are overseeing a concert put together by Live Nation. Scorsese, who has worked with Robertson on various film projects such as the recent “Killers of the Flower Moon,” will help recognize Robertson’s lasting impact on music and his significant contributions to the industry.

As a long-time concert enthusiast who has attended countless shows over the years, I am thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow music lovers! Tickets for the upcoming event will go on sale in two phases: Citi cardmembers get early access starting at 10 a.m. PST on July 30, followed by general ticket sales beginning at 10 a.m. PST on August 2. This is an excellent opportunity to secure your spot and enjoy an unforgettable musical experience!

34-year manager Levine shared the news of artist Robertson’s passing on August 9, following a long-term illness. As per Levine, Robertson was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his demise, which included his wife Janet, ex-wife Dominique and partner Nicholas, as well as his four children: Alexandra, Sebastian, Delphine, and Kenny (Delphine’s partner). Instead of sending flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made towards the construction of a new cultural center at Six Nations of the Grand River.

After a legal disagreement concerning Robertson’s inheritance, an announcement about performance will ensue. In May, Robertson’s spouse, Janet Zuccarini, submitted a lawsuit accusing Robertson’s children—Delphine, Sebastian, and Alexandra—alongside the estate and trust administrators, Adriane Hibbert and David Jackel, of “financial exploitation of the elderly” and “interference with inheritance rights.”

Obtained court records by PEOPLE show that the legal action aims for monetary compensation, penalties, and a reversal of a TIC adjustment carried out by Robertson and Zuccarini in March 2023. Zuccarini’s attorney has stated to the Los Angeles Times that this lawsuit is “unfounded” and lacks any substantial basis.
