Earlier on Days of Our Lives, Chanel found herself anxious because she thought she was running late to open the bakery. However, Johnny gently reminded her that she had taken the day off for them to enjoy some quality time together instead. Before their moment became romantic, Chanel made sure to take her birth control pill to prevent an unwanted pregnancy from happening too quickly.

Johnny comforts her, saying it’s alright if she feels unprepared for another attempt, yet Chanel displays her eagerness for starting a family together in the future, provided he’s willing. His acceptance is clear as he continues to embrace her affectionately.

In the workspace of Body and Soul, Abe and Kate are readying themselves for auditions. The initial performer, Hattie Adams, who bears a striking resemblance to Marlena, shares that she’s been on a journey to discover herself but hasn’t found a place where she truly fits in. Recalling her past when she impersonated Marlena in Salem, she feels strongly that her destiny lies in acting.

Simultaneously, Jada confides in Stephanie that she believes Everett might be Bobby. Leo listens in on their chat and demands more information, but Stephanie maintains it must remain secret. Later on, Connie stops by with donuts for Bobby, who frets about being spotted together because he knows who murdered Li. Connie tries to comfort him, but Bobby asks her not to visit again. Before leaving, she takes some cash and a key card from his wallet.

At the train station, Paulina proposes the temporary commissioner role to Jada, who agrees to take it. Meanwhile, Jada intends to connect Li’s assault with Rafe. She summons Everett to the station, and while he’s away, Connie secretly enters his room using a key card. In the town square, Stephanie reveals to Leo that Everett has ended their relationship, but Leo feels something is amiss. He doubts whether Everett could be Bobby instead.

In the audition, Hattie struggles but manages to convey genuine feelings, leaving Abe impressed and convinced to hire her, despite Kate’s doubts. Later on, Johnny and Chanel chat about their intentions, deciding to stay in Salem. Abe then extends a job offer to Johnny for directing, which he gratefully accepts.

At the train station, Everett offers donuts as a gesture of reconciliation to Jada and expresses his regret for his past actions. However, Jada accuses him of being Bobby, suggesting that he knows who murdered Li. Everett acknowledges that he is indeed Bobby, but assertively declares his innocence regarding the stabbing incident, stating that he has information about the culprit instead.

In Bobby’s hotel room, Connie (while wearing gloves) secretly stashes gloves containing Rafe’s DNA, which are tainted with blood. Just then, Leo knocks on the door.
