Netflix Drops Explosive New Trailer for ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’

Netflix just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming movie, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, offering fans a sneak peek at what’s next for the Shelby family.

The film follows Tommy Shelby, portrayed by Cillian Murphy, as he comes out of hiding. Set during World War II, the story sees Tommy confronting his history and making choices about his future.

The trailer reveals that several beloved characters are back for the new film, including those played by Sophie Rundle and Stephen Graham. We also meet some new faces: Tim Roth as Beckett, and Jay Lycurgo as Elija. Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan join the cast, alongside returning actors Packy Lee and Ian Peck, who reprise their roles as Johnny Dogs and Curly.

Tom Harper directed the film, and Steven Knight, who created the series, wrote it. Knight told RadioTimes that the pandemic forced them to alter their original plans for how the show would end. He explained, “I always knew I wanted the story to span the period between the two World Wars – starting right after the First World War and concluding as the Second World War began.”

The pandemic forced us to cancel season seven as originally planned. Instead of finishing the story at the end of World War II in a traditional season, we’ve created a movie that will bring us up to that point. It’s coming out soon and we’re really proud of it.

Once Tommy Shelby’s story concludes, the world of Peaky Blinders will continue with two new seasons following a new family in 1950s Birmingham. The movie ending the original story will be in theaters on March 6th, and then available to stream on Netflix starting March 20th.
