MCU to Introduce Adamantium via Dead Celestial in ‘Captain America 4’: Here’s Why This Is a Game-Changer

As a long-time MCU fan and avid gamer with a deep appreciation for comic book lore, I can’t contain my excitement following this year’s SDCC announcements! The revelation that adamantium will play a significant role in “Captain America: Brave New World” is a game-changer.

2021’s San Diego Comic-Con unveiled thrilling developments about the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming phases. The title for Avengers 5, due out later, is ‘Doomsday,’ and it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Victor Von Doom.

In addition, we were provided with fresh information and unique film clips for the forthcoming productions of “Thunderbolts,” “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” and others.

One significant revelation concerned ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ It’s been confirmed that Giancarlo Esposito will portray Sidewinder, the head of the Serpent Society, a character introduced during costly re-filming sessions.

Moreover, it comes to light that adamantium, the robust metal known for Wolverine’s formidable claws and skeleton, plays a pivotal part in “Brave New World.” At the start of the movie, nations are vying for control of adamantium reserves. With this objective, President Ross plans to disseminate these resources globally, enlisting Sam Wilson’s help in reestablishing the Avengers.

1. After the announcement, they revealed the footage that had been shown earlier at CinemaCon 2024. This new version includes a scene where President Thaddeus Ross talks about the Celestial from ‘Eternals’ and the creation of adamantium. Additionally, it shows Sam Wilson and Joaquin flying together in their Falcon suits. The video concludes with President Ross transforming into the Red Hulk at a podium in front of the White House, a character that resembles Ford but has yellow eyes and black hair instead.

1. In comic books, Adamantium – a nearly indescribably tough steel blend – is denser than vibranium and offers superior drilling capabilities. However, its manufacture is expensive and intricate, with few experts capable of producing it. The MCU creatively sidesteps this issue by claiming the metal’s origin as Celestial in nature.

1. There are multiple types of adamantium, such as Proto-Adamantium, Pure Adamantium, and Steel Adamantium, each possessing immense strength.

Up until now, adamantium has not been introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Although it was featured in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” this film took place in a different reality called Earth-10005. In this storyline, Deadpool obtained adamantium katanas, but the version of Wolverine with an adamantium skeleton did not align with the main timeline as well.

Prior to the premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Kevin Feige hinted that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would delve into mutants with this film as a starting point. The incorporation of adamantium in the MCU reinforces this notion, as the metal is closely linked to the X-Men and comic book history.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve always found it fascinating how superheroes like Wolverine and Captain America have unique abilities that set them apart. Wolverine, with his indestructible Adamantium skeleton and claws, is an unbeatable force to reckon with in battles. I can only imagine the thrill of having such unyielding strength!
