Rebecca Ferguson To Join Cillian Murphy In New Peaky Blinders Movie? Here’s What Report Says

On Thursday, Netflix UK & Ireland announced via a photo of Rebecca Ferguson, “Rebecca Ferguson is set to star alongside Cillian Murphy in the forthcoming Peaky Blinders movie!”

Recently, there have been reports that Netflix has approved a Peaky Blinders film. When this news broke, Murphy quipped, “It looks like Tommy Shelby isn’t done with me yet…”

Tom Harper will helm the film, with Steven Knight writing the script. Caryn Mandabach, Knight, Murphy, and Guy Heeley will produce, and BBC Film will collaborate on the production.

The executive producers for this project are Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason. Details about the storyline are kept secret, but we do know that it will take place during World War II. Film production is planned to begin in the current year.

The movie follows Murphy as Thomas Shelby, a war veteran turned criminal mastermind in 1900s Birmingham, based on a well-known series. Though it’s expected to carry on the storyline, specifics about the plot and Ferguson’s character are yet to be revealed.

Recently, Ferguson once again took on the character of Lady Jessica in Dune: Part Two, a production that brought in an impressive $712 million globally. Furthermore, she has collaborated with Tom Cruise in three installments of Mission: Impossible, most recently appearing in last year’s Dead Reckoning – Part One.
