In the latest animated show, “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” which is exclusive to Paramount+ and set in the universe of Mutant Mayhem, the turtle siblings are breaking out of their shells. This series focuses on the brothers as they encounter a new adversary who is planning a massacre of mutants. During its Comic-Con panel, Paramount+ revealed an extended preview of this 2D-animated spinoff, hinting at an intense mutant battle taking place on the streets of New York City. The first season consisting of twelve episodes will be available starting August 9th.
The world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is about to grow bigger with the upcoming release of “Tales of the TMNT.” This development comes as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed video game hits stores this fall and a new movie sequel, yet to be titled, in 2026. The original voice actors, including Cantu, Abbey, Noon, and Brown, will reprise their roles for the series as regular cast members.
In this animated series, the star-studded voice cast features Pete Davidson as Rod the human, Alanna Ubach as Bishop the cyborg with a hatred for mutants, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Pigeon Pete, a mutated character. What was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem about?
The comic book “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” introduces Cynthia Utrom, a high-ranking executive at the Techno Cosmic Research Institute. She dispatches a team to capture rogue scientist Baxter Stockman, who used a toxic ooze to generate a clan of mutated animals. In the pursuit, Baxter meets an explosive end. Unfortunately, the mutagenic substance lands in New York City’s sewers instead.
The mutagen transforms four turtle brothers and a rat named Splinter into human-like mutants, who take the turtles under their care. Splinter harbors mistrust towards humans and teaches his sons the art of ninjutsu, instructing them to steal resources. However, as time passes, the turtles develop a desire to coexist with humans, much to Splinter’s opposition.
Fifteen years after the event, the Turtles manage to apprehend a criminal organization and recover April O’Neil’s stolen moped. April, an ambitious journalist in the making, probes into a string of tech heists orchestrated by the elusive “Superfly.” Determined to put a stop to Superfly and earn public recognition as saviors, the Turtles secure a fragment of the pilfered technology. They subsequently encounter Superfly, who is both a mutant mastermind and head of a mutant criminal syndicate. The Turtles form an unexpected alliance with Superfly, learning about their shared origins while eluding TCRI. Superfly intends to utilize the stolen tech to transform all animals into super-powered beings, aiming to establish a world where mutants rule over humans.

Leonardo takes charge, April successfully conveys the mutants’ goals during a news broadcast, and New Yorkers assist them. The Turtles empty a canister of TCRI mutagen into Superfly’s blowhole, reverting him to his normal form. The city welcomes the mutants and they move in with them. Splinter and Scumbug develop feelings for each other, while the Turtles join April’s high school. However, Cynthia keeps an eye on them, intending to capture the Turtles with the assistance of the elusive Shredder.
