Taylor Swift Reveals She’s The Godmother Of Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds’ Four Children; Know Who Else Is Her Godchild

As a lifestyle expert and avid observer of celebrity dynamics, I have had the pleasure of following the fascinating friendship between Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds for years. Their bond is not just limited to their professional lives but extends deeply into their personal spheres, with Swift taking on the cherished role of godmother to their three adorable kids, James, Inez, and Betty.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ children not only inspired Taylor Swift for her music, but she also took on the role of their godmother. It seems Swift is enjoying every moment of being a godmother.

Swift, 34, made the revelation on Thursday, July 25, in an Instagram tribute post for her “best friend” Ryan Reynolds, ahead of the release of his movie Deadpool & Wolverine, out Friday, July 26. “Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids’ sperm donor!” the Fortnight singer joked, referencing Reynolds’ character Deadpool’s government name in the film.

The revelation followed Lively and Reynolds’ announcement of the name of their fourth child

Over a year ago, Lively and Reynolds concealed the name of their fourth child from the public. However, they unveiled the moniker during the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in New York on July 22. Reynolds shared from the stage at the David H. Koch Theater, “I’d like to acknowledge my children, James, Inez, Betty, and Olin, who are present.” The gender of Olin remains a secret.

For those who may not know, James, Inez, and Betty feature on Swift’s Folklore track titled Betty.

For over ten years, the singer-songwriter, affectionately referred to as a songstress, has been close friends with Blake Lively and her spouse. During their recent visit to her Eras Tour show in Madrid, she dedicated a shout-out to their children. While introducing the specified song on “Folklore,” Swift shared with the audience, “I must mention that some of my beloved characters in this album bear the same names as certain individuals.”

Taylor is also a godmother to friend Jamie King’s son

Regarding his selection of Taylor Swift as godmother to his nine-year-old son Leo Thames, King clarified to People that this decision wasn’t influenced by Swift’s fame but rather her virtuous character and actions towards others. He expressed, “I value the kind of person she is – her morals, her values, and her work ethic. That’s who I want to be my child’s role model and protector.”

Swift composed the song “Never Grow Up” for her godson as a heartfelt gift, traveling to Los Angeles during her 1989 Tour specifically to meet him right after his birth. She affectionately captioned a photo of herself holding Leo with King in the background in 2015, writing “Meeting my little one.”
