While the third season of The Mandalorian didn’t quite live up to the first two, the new trailer suggests Din and Grogu are heading back to the qualities that made the show so popular. The story is expansive and ties into the larger Star Wars universe, but it remains focused on the bond between these two characters. Expect plenty of action, adventure, danger, and excitement – everything fans want to see from them.
The new movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, comes from Jon Favreau, the creator and director of The Mandalorian. Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filono are also executive producers. Pedro Pascal returns as the beloved bounty hunter – and this time, we’ll actually see his face! The film introduces Sigourney Weaver as a New Republic hero working to maintain peace, and Jeremy Allen White as Rotta, the son of Jabba the Hutt, who appears to have a surprisingly large role. Jonny Coyne is also back as the Imperial Warlord from The Mandalorian’s Shadow Council, continuing his story in this new film.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to discover the story behind the big-screen adaptation of The Mandalorian and Grogu. The movie will arrive in theaters just in time for summer, premiering on May 22, 2026.
