Fortunately, her companions, among them Ryuji, manage to stop the teachers from intruding upon the room where Saki is broadcasting her message via the intercom system.
After some time, Saki runs into Makoto and invites him to be her boyfriend. Makoto agrees to this arrangement. The manga does not explicitly depict them as a couple, but their relationship is suggested through subtle cues. For instance, Saki mentions her weekly visits to her grandmother, which provide an opportunity for her to spend time with both Makoto and Ryuji.
