Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Delay UK House Hunt Over Security Concerns; Report

As a dedicated follower of the British royal family, I’ve watched with great interest as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle navigate their new lives outside of the UK. It’s heartbreaking to see that their plans to buy a new house in Harry’s home country have been put on hold due to security concerns.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had intended to purchase a new house in the UK, according to reports, but their plans have been momentarily suspended due to heightened security concerns. As stated by the New York Post, Prince Harry was reportedly seeking homes within his native land instead of continually staying in hotels during his visits. However, the safety issues for their family of four have caused this undertaking to be postponed, at least for now.

Prince Harry puts house hunting in the UK on hold

The couple, who were once part of the British royal family, no longer have a fixed home in their native country and now live in the United States. According to royal commentator Tom Quinn, who spoke with The Mirror, the Prince feels the absence of having a British address, particularly since they were removed from Frogmore Cottage located on the Windsor Castle grounds.

The expert shared that Harry’s initial excitement and novelty about living in the States is fading, leading him to reminisce about the past with a romanticized perspective. He also mentioned that despite having numerous friends in the UK, they have chosen not to visit Harry at his new home due to the ongoing conflicts with Meghan.

According to a recent report from an unnamed source to The Express, the Prince is currently hesitant to search for new properties due to lingering security concerns. The legal complexities have not been resolved yet, and the source indicates that the royal couple had anticipated that the appeal hearing would conclude by July’s end. However, this timeline has since been pushed back.

Do they plan to return back?

As a lifestyle expert, I can tell you that this situation remains a sour turn of events for the British monarch’s son and his family. Recently, the London High Court upheld its 2020 decision, stating that there was no legal error in taking away their taxpayer-funded security protection. Consequently, this means that the family of four will now have to cover the costs of their personal security when they return to the UK.

Although Harry has returned to the UK multiple times, Meghan’s visits have been infrequent. In fact, her most recent visit took place in 2022. Notably, she didn’t accompany her husband during his last trip back for the anniversary celebrations of the Invictus Games.
