The Biggest Questions We Have After THE BOYS Season Four Finale

As a long-time fan of The Boys, I’ve grown accustomed to the chaotic and unpredictable nature of this gritty superhero series. But after watching the shocking events unfold in season four, I find myself on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for our beloved characters.

Homelander holds the reins of power in America, under Sage’s watchful eye, leaving us deeply concerned for The Boys’ safety. The chaotic ending of season four saw many of our beloved characters detained, several people conspicuously absent, and intriguing hints that will fuel our anticipation as we count down to season five. Here are the major mysteries that need resolution following The Boys’ thrilling finale.

Where Is A-Train and Will He Return to The Boys in Season Five?

After the shocking revelations in the finale of “The Boys” season four, it’s natural to wonder what happened to A-Train. With so many other major plotlines unfolding, such as the Robert Singer assassination plan and Homelander’s deteriorating mental state, no one seemed to notice that A-Train and his family had vanished. Some fans speculated that he might have followed Ashley’s advice and escaped to Florence, Italy. Regardless of his whereabouts, it’s clear that A-Train needs to stay hidden from the world. If he is discovered or filmed by the wrong person, the consequences could be disastrous.

As an avid fan, I strongly believe that A-Tr train will make a comeback in season five. With Annie standing alone, it’s clear that she’ll require the V’s assistance to rescue The Boys and bring down Homelander once and for all.

Will Queen Maeve Get Her Powers Back and Return to Fight Homelander and Soldier Boy Again?

Towards the end of the third season, Queen Maeve confronted Homelander, giving The Boys an opportunity to overpower Soldier Boy. In a selfless act, she sacrificed herself by pushing Soldier Boy out of a window before his explosion could harm everyone else. This act left her powerless but allowed her to escape Vought undetected by all, except Ashley and her late assistant. Now living peacefully with her partner on a farm, Maeve’s tranquil life may be disrupted if global turmoil calls for her return. With access to Compound V, she could potentially regain her powers and aid A-Train and Annie/Starlight in their battle against Homelander and Vought. However, the question remains: will Maeve make that choice? The answer lies in wait as we anticipate the return of The Boys for another thrilling season.

What Happened to Ashely After Taking Compound V in The Boys Season Finale? Is Ashely a Supe Now?

Regarding the character of Ashley in “The Boys,”

What Did Cate Whisper to Frenchie?

Following Victoria Neuman’s death, the media falsely implicated the Boys and Robert Singer. In response, they parted ways, using fabricated passports to start new lives. However, their peace was short-lived as Homelander and Sage relentlessly pursued them, utilizing law enforcement and superhumans. The duo responsible for their capture were Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan from Gen V. Cate whispered something into Frenchie’s ear, prompting him to follow her without resistance. Kimiko was distraught by this turn of events, leading her to shout “no” repeatedly. Tragically, the couple who had planned to build a life together met with a sorrowful end.

Will Kimiko Continue to Speak in The Boys Season Five?

When Kimiko was a child, a distressing experience stole her ability to speak. More recently, an event occurred that gave her voice back to her. The future is uncertain for Kimiko, but we fervently wish that she will continue to communicate in season five. May she be granted all the joy and happiness this world has to offer.

Where Did Ryan Go, and Will He Return to Homelander?

In an attempt to persuade Ryan to prepare for assassinating his own father, Homelander, Butcher and Grace Mallory urged him to remain in a secret government bunker. This was a heavy burden for a boy who had only recently learned that Homelander had raped his mother Becca and massacred an airplane’s worth of people. (A lot to process.) Despite his reluctance, Ryan felt compelled to go, while Grace tried to keep him behind. In a moment of anger, he shoved her against the wall and fatally snapped her neck before departing from the facility. Butcher could only watch in horror as Ryan disappeared from Vought Tower, leaving us wondering about his whereabouts after the shocking events of “The Boys” season four finale.

Will Sameer Find Zoe at the Red River Institute?

After Victoria’s passing, Zoe, her grief-stricken daughter, now resides at Red River Institute against her mother’s wishes. It’s odd that she finds herself there, as her father, Sameer, is still alive. He managed to escape from the facility where Butcher had held him captive, albeit with a missing limb. Surely he has been informed about Victoria’s demise by now and will make every effort to be reunited with his daughter?

Where the Hell Is Stan Edgar?!

Regarding missing persons, there’s been no sign of Stan Edgar since the incident at the farm. Victoria granted him freedom over imprisonment, but his whereabouts remain unknown. Is he searching for Zoe? What vengeance does he plan against The Boys for taking his daughter? We are filled with curiosity about Stan, and we can only wait to discover how he factors into season five.

Who Is the Telekinetic Supe That Attacked Annie and Hughie?

Towards the end of the final episode, the audience encounters the Boys face to face with supers who are working for Homelander. Among them is an unfamiliar figure. She sports a bald head and wears sweatpants reminiscent of Hawkins Lab residents in “Stranger Things.” Many viewers might not recall her as she’s had limited screen time in this series. The supe who assaults Hughie and Annie is Cindy, a telekinetic super from season two. Prior to this, she was a patient at Sage Grove Center, a psychiatric institution owned by Vought for human experimentation.

After an unexpected incident involving Frenchie, Kimiko, and MM, Cindy makes a hasty exit and takes to the streets. This encounter marks our first sighting of Cindy since her TV announcement labeling her as wanted for multiple offenses. It’s assumed that Homelander has granted her forgiveness and plans to reintegrate her into his circle of superheroes, likely due to the vacancy left by A-Train.

Where Is Butcher Going, and Will He Release the Virus?

In the world of “The Boys,” this question is currently generating a lot of buzz: What’s next for Butcher, who seems to be alive and thriving after giving in to the parasitic dark side? He brutally killed Victoria and then disappeared to an undisclosed location. In his possession is the virus, but it remains unclear how he plans to obtain enough of it to wipe out all supers. His intentions are a mystery, but one thing is certain – he doesn’t look like he’s about to meet his demise.

What Will Annie Do Without the Boys, and Where Will She Go Next?

Annie, unfortunately alone and in hiding, managed to evade capture and regained her abilities just in time. However, she remains a fugitive with a distinct appearance, leaving her without the option of returning home or visiting familiar places. In search of assistance, she might look for A-Train or Queen Maeve to help free The Boys from their current imprisonment.

Does Anyone Work at Vought Anymore? What’s the Status of the Company?

Homelander’s power grab involved eliminating any Vought employee harboring secrets. Essentially, this meant targeting nearly every staff member at the company. With many names crossed off their list, one wonders: who still remains employed at Vought in “The Boys”? Following Ashley’s departure (or demise), and with the supes preoccupied leading America, what shape has Vought taken? The upcoming season five of “The Boys” could provide answers swiftly and unveil that Vought is no longer a formidable corporate entity.

What Does Sage Really Want?

As someone who’s been closely following “The Boys” series, I’ve developed a strong fascination with the enigmatic character of Sage. Her actions have left many questioning her true intentions – is she just a chaotic force or does she have an underlying motive?

“In a recent interview, Susan Heyward as Sage expressed, ‘She’s constantly dealing with an abundance of information and potential outcomes. I believe she craves excitement and a purpose in life. With the chance to instigate chaos and build an unforeseen universe, it ignites her, making her feel truly alive.'”

As someone who has spent years working in the field of complex problem-solving, I can’t help but be intrigued by the challenges posed by these unanswered questions. However, I understand that patience is a virtue and that instant gratification isn’t always possible. So, while we wait for the answers to come rolling in, I plan on revisiting “The Boys” season four. Having already watched it once or twice, I know I’ll discover new layers of complexity with each viewing. After all, life experience has taught me that sometimes the best way to pass the time is by immersing myself in a captivating storyline.
