As a huge fan of AMC’s gripping and thought-provoking shows, I couldn’t be more excited about the latest deal between AMC and Netflix! For years, I’ve been binge-watching my favorite series on these platforms, and the news that even more AMC content is coming to Netflix starting August 19 is simply thrilling.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC is set to deliver a significant amount of content to Netflix soon. The two entities have reached an agreement under which several beloved AMC shows will become available on Netflix starting next month. Among these are the initial season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” and all eight seasons of “Fear the Walking Dead.” Additionally, “Interview with the Vampire” season one and “Mayfair Witches” season one are part of the deal. Other titles on the roster include “Preacher” and “Into the Badlands.” In total, Netflix subscribers will have access to 13 AMC series as of August 19. Here’s a complete list:
I’m thrilled to keep you company as we delve into a marathon session starting August 19 on Netflix, US. Here’s what we have in store:

As a voracious reader and binge-watcher of television shows, I have had the pleasure of immersing myself in some truly captivating stories over the years. Among these, Anne Rice’s “A Discovery of Witches,” “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire” S1, and “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” stand out as my personal favorites.
Starting January 13, 2025, “The Walking Dead: Dead City” and “The Ones Who Live” season one will become available on Netflix. These shows, following “The Walking Dead’s” footsteps, will be commercial-free even on Netflix’s ad-supported tier. AMC mentioned that both series have a rich history with Netflix. Previously, shows like “Breaking Bad” and “Mad Men” gained significant cultural recognition after being streamed on the platform. The exposure on Netflix led to impressive viewership for their subsequent seasons. Similarly, “The Walking Dead” benefited greatly from the Netflix effect, contributing to its status as a prominent pop culture entity.
The Netflix-AMC agreement reaches its expiry with the “selected” series accessible for just a year. Yet, should any of these shows experience rating surges on AMC due to their Netflix visibility, it’s quite likely that this deal will be prolonged. It’s important to note that earlier in the year, some AMC productions were made available on Max, but this was merely a “temporary” arrangement and not an omen of a more extensive partnership between AMC and Max. We can only anticipate what lies ahead for the future collaboration between AMC and Netflix.
