Fans of Good Omens have a date to mark! A new trailer from Prime Video reveals the show will return for its final season on May 13, 2026. This season will wrap up the epic story that began at the very beginning of time. After a rocky ending to season two, viewers will finally discover if the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley can overcome their differences and find their way back together.

The show will debut this spring, and we’ll quickly learn how the story concludes. Instead of a full season, the third and final installment will be a single, 90-minute episode. This change happened after Neil Gaiman, the showrunner and a writer on both the show and the original novel, was accused of sexual assault. Prime Video announced the shortened finale after Gaiman decided to leave the project.

The final episode of the series will follow the story Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett originally outlined for a sequel to Good Omens. Gaiman contributed to the last season before stepping away from production of season three, and had no further involvement – he wasn’t even present during filming.

Good Omens has always been a collaborative effort, created by two authors and brought to life on Prime Video by a lot of talented people. We’re happy they had the chance to finish the show, and now we can too. Season three will be released on May 13, 2026.
