Overview

Diana is the best property damage buffer, and this makes her property buffing power even better

Fills Diana’s turns where she otherwise has no skills to play

Summons can be used to absorb strong attacks in PVE

Not a strong costume on its own, needs AOTU.Diana to be used effectively

Small buff range, limited placement options

This ability starts with a high stamina cost and continues to drain stamina while active. Upgrading it is crucial to lower that cost.

Long cooldown

Diana for PVE

Skill overview

MI.Diana can summon a robot copy of herself with the same starting stats. This robot functions like any other unit – it can attack, push enemies back, or use a special ability. While its attacks and knockbacks aren’t very strong, the robot is most useful for its skill.

This robot can boost the stats of nearby allies within a cone-shaped area by 50% for four turns. The ability costs 1 skill point to use and can be activated every turn without any delay. If the robot uses this ability repeatedly, allies can gain two stacks, effectively doubling their property damage.

The robot’s area-of-effect attack can potentially boost up to four allies simultaneously. However, achieving this requires a specific formation – the robot in the center with allies positioned at each of the four corners – which isn’t very realistic in most fights. Generally, you’ll likely only be able to buff around two allies at once.

MI.Diana’s robots take a while to recharge – she can only summon a new one every 15 turns. Each robot can increase property damage by 50% (up to a total of 100% with two robots). If you get two robots working together, you can potentially double your property damage output (reaching 200% with four stacks).

MI.Diana has a special ability that lets you summon her robot before your first turn begins. If you use this ability, you can move the robot around freely on Turn 1. If you don’t use it, the robot will always appear in the top-left corner and can’t be moved until the turn after it appears.

PVE game modes

Diana, from Adventurer of the Unknown, is the most effective character for boosting property damage in the game. Her ability creates an aura that increases this type of damage by 220% for several turns.

Besides Diana, Refithea is our other main source of property damage buffs. While Refithea’s property damage boost isn’t as strong as Diana’s (it provides 100%), she offers a variety of other helpful benefits. Diana and Refithea are both essential for tackling challenging end-game content because maximizing property damage is key to dealing significant damage. During fiend hunts, players usually divide these two characters between their two strongest teams. For guild raids, they are almost always used together on the same team.

Magical Innovator Diana (MI.Diana) isn’t as strong as AOTU.Diana – it usually only provides a 100% damage boost, while AOTU.Diana offers 220%. But because Diana is so often used in challenging PvE content, getting MI.Diana is still a good idea to make one of your best characters even more powerful.

As a huge fan, I’ve found MI.Diana to be a total game-changer in guild raids! What’s amazing is you almost always get a second robot out, which basically doubles your buffs. During raids, you can either be patient and wait for her skill to recharge, or speed things up by using Lancelot’s Blessing of the Lake. It’s a really efficient combo!

Keep in mind that MI.Diana uses a significant amount of Skill Points (SP). Upgrading her is important to lower the initial SP cost. Even with upgrades, summoning her robot on turn 1 costs 4 SP total (3 SP for the robot itself and 1 SP to activate its skill). Maintaining the robot’s buff also costs 1 SP each turn. If you start running low on SP, you can have the robot attack instead of using its skill, which will recharge 1 SP.

MI.Diana isn’t particularly strong in most game modes outside of specific challenges like fiend hunts and guild raids. While she’s expensive to acquire, she doesn’t provide the same instant boost to player power as other high-level support characters in PvE content.

Diana for PVP

MI.Diana is near useless for PVP.

This card rarely sees use on its own. It’s occasionally played after Anti-Dystopia Diana, particularly in Mirror Wars, because of her strong defensive ability. While not a great card overall, it’s better than playing Anti-Order: The Uprising Diana, as it summons a robot that can distract opponents and take some damage.

Exclusive Gear

Diana’s special equipment doesn’t actually improve how well she supports her team. It just increases her health, and she’s already durable enough that this extra health doesn’t make a big impact. Because of this, it’s best not to focus on getting her special equipment.

Conclusion

Diana is a top-tier character for boosting damage, and she’s incredibly popular for player-versus-environment (PVE) content. Because of this, any new outfit that makes her damage buff even stronger is essential for most players.

Diana’s Magical Innovator skill is a bit complex, but it significantly boosts her damage output. In quick battles, it adds 100% extra damage, and in longer fights like guild raids, it can increase damage by up to 200%. While not as powerful as her Adventurer of the Unknown skill, this costume will be very helpful for tackling challenging end-game content.

+5 investment with SP reduction potential upgrades are strongly recommended.
