Colin Farrell recently took “casual Friday” to the extreme! The 49-year-old actor was seen doing a late-night grocery run at a Hollywood market while wearing full pajamas – blue and white flannel pants, a black t-shirt, and a cardigan. He looked like a regular guy while shopping.
This sighting comes as Farrell prepares for the second season of his Apple TV+ series, Sugar, which will premiere on June 19. In the show, he plays John Sugar, a kind private investigator with a love of movies and a hidden secret. This season, Farrell will be joined by his close friend Shea Whigham, who will play a government contact helping with a new missing persons investigation.
Colin Farrell recently shared how much the character and the show’s location mean to him. He told The Hollywood Reporter that it took time, but after living in Los Angeles for twenty-three years, he’s grown to love its energy. He described the city as incredibly diverse and a place where all kinds of people – from surfers and musicians to business professionals and artists – can find a home, precisely because it doesn’t fit neatly into one category.

Colin Farrell is having a major career moment thanks to the popularity of his HBO series, The Penguin. He recently starred in the Netflix thriller Ballad of a Small Player, released in late 2025, where he played a gambler in Macau alongside Tilda Swinton.
The film, directed by Edward Berger, has reinforced Farrell’s reputation for choosing challenging and emotionally demanding roles. Looking ahead, Farrell is set to reprise his role as Oz Cobb in Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II. Filming is expected to begin this spring, with a projected release in late 2027.
Farrell has described the script as exceptional, beautiful, and surprisingly enjoyable, hinting that the Penguin’s story alongside Robert Pattinson’s Batman will become even more gripping.
Aside from acting in major films and enjoying simple comforts like shopping in his pajamas, Colin Farrell dedicates himself to giving back through his foundation. Launched in 2024, the Colin Farrell Foundation focuses on supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
