Chainsaw Man Hits Theaters for the First Time
For the very first time, Chainsaw Man transitions from television screens to cinemas. This film version takes inspiration from the Reze Arc in both the anime and manga series, furthering Denji’s tale as he confronts his deadliest adversary yet.
The story intensifies as Chainsaw Man, now Denji, becomes embroiled in a lethal battle among devils, hunters, and hidden adversaries. A cryptic girl named Reze appears in his life, triggering a ferocious clash where survival is instinctual. At the core of it all is Denji’s internal struggle between love and aggression.

The film is an adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s popular manga series, Chainsaw Man, which is published in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+. MAPPA, the animation studio behind the TV series, is returning for this movie production.
Kenshi Yonezu’s tune, known as “IRIS OUT,” is the one you hear, distributed through Sony Music Labels Inc.

Description: Chainsaw Man is actually Denji, a young fellow who got turned into a hybrid of human and devil after he struck a deal with his pet devil-dog, Pochita. Previously, Denji was a Devil Hunter, saddled with debts and working for the yakuza. However, he was eventually deceived and met his end at their hands. In his dying breath, Pochita merged with him, resulting in Denji’s transformation into Chainsaw Man – a fierce combatant whose body sprouts chainsaws. As Chainsaw Man, Denji fights against devils and other lethal adversaries in a ruthless universe where only survival has true value.
Chainsaw Man is a manga series that Tatsuki Fujimoto brought to life. It made its debut in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine back in December 2018, captivating readers with its intense action sequences, sharp wit, and heartfelt narratives. The initial phase of the manga, referred to as the Public Safety Arc, lasted until 2020, after which a second part commenced on the Shonen Jump+ digital platform.
In 2022, the anime adaptation of “Chainsaw Man” was launched by MAPPA studio. This anime brought the story to a worldwide audience, showcasing Denji’s early days as Chainsaw Man and his role with the Public Safety Devil Hunters. Now, the tale carries on in cinemas with “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc”, which is based on one of the manga’s most beloved story arcs.
