The Breaking ‘Bad House’ Just Took a Multimillion Dollar Price Cut and the New Price Is Wild

The famous house from the television show, once home to the show’s central character, is for sale again, but at a much more realistic price. Originally listed for nearly $4 million in early 2025, the owner has significantly reduced the price. As of February, the four-bedroom, two-bathroom house is now listed for $400,000, which is closer to what it’s actually worth.

The house has been in the Quintana family since 1973, but it became famous worldwide when it was used as the exterior shot in the TV show Breaking Bad. At first, the family enjoyed meeting the actors, like Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. However, the attention soon became a problem.

Fans started showing up at all times of day and night. One morning, a suspicious package addressed to “Walter White” arrived at 4:30 AM, prompting a call to the bomb squad. To protect her family, Quintana put up a large fence, but determined visitors still come by.

Around 300 cars drive past the house every day, and many people try to copy the show’s iconic scene of pizza on the roof. Quintana has become well-known online for fiercely protecting her property, even using a hose to keep curious onlookers away.

Having decided to move on, Quintana hopes the new owner will finally open the house to fans. She believes it would be ideal as a themed bed-and-breakfast or a museum, and feels it’s time to stop resisting what the fans want.

Even though it was a stressful time, she fondly remembers the cast and crew, especially her mother baking cookies for everyone – though Bryan Cranston had to be careful to maintain his character’s appearance.

With the house made famous by “Breaking Bad” now sold, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are both starting new chapters in their careers. Cranston recently announced he’s taking a break from acting to focus on his wife, Robin, who has supported him throughout his career. Before his break, fans can see him in the new film Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie and the Malcolm in the Middle revival, where he’ll return as Hal.
