As a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, I’m really excited to hear Disney is seriously working on a new one! From what I understand, it sounds like they’re not just adding another movie to the series, but potentially reimagining the whole franchise – a fresh start, if you will.

Jeff Sneider reports that the studio’s new leaders are making this project a high priority, and initial plans suggest a fresh take on pirates and the story’s overall direction.

As Bob Iger prepares to leave Disney, Josh D’Amaro has been appointed the new CEO, and Dana Walden will be President. However, some fans are worried because of reports that Walden previously declined projects with white leads, raising concerns about future content decisions.
