Get ready for more giant monster action! Godzilla, Kong, and a new Titan called Titan X are back in the latest installment of the popular Monsterverse series, hitting theaters in February.
Apple TV revealed a new trailer for Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters at its 2026 Press Day. The trailer was presented by the show’s stars, including Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm.
The first look at the new season is here, and it’s packed with action! All 10 episodes will be available starting February 27, 2026, with a new episode released each week until May 1. Check it out below.

Kong, Godzilla, and Titan X Take Center Stage
Season 2 of Monarch picks up where the thrilling story left off, continuing to explore the secrets of the organization behind Legendary’s Monsterverse. The latest trailer features the return of Godzilla and Kong, and also reveals a dangerous new titan named Titan X.
Titan X, a colossal creature described as a disaster come to life, rises from the ocean in a stunning, glowing spectacle. Its appearance brings both destruction and unanswered questions. The trailer hints at its immense size and strength – an age-old titan whose intentions are unknown, but whose power is undeniable.

A World on the Brink
The story resumes with everything on the line for Monarch and the entire world. Old secrets resurface as the characters come together on Skull Island and discover a strange village connected to a new, ancient titan emerging from the ocean.
The trailer builds suspense, suggesting a massive, world-altering event is coming, which will break apart existing friendships and cause conflicts between former allies.

Familiar Faces and New Cast Additions
Season 2 will bring back familiar faces and introduce several new cast members, including Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and Camilo Jiménez Varón.
Chris Black is the executive producer and showrunner, and he’s joined by Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Lawrence Trilling, and Andrew Colville. The series is produced by Legendary Television, and Toho Co., Ltd. manages the licensing for Godzilla.

Monsterverse Expands
The Monsterverse is expanding with new content across various platforms. Apple TV+ has revealed a prequel series focusing on a young Lee Shaw, with Wyatt Russell in the lead role, and there are also plans for several other series featuring both well-known and brand-new Titans.
As a movie critic, I’ve been watching the monsterverse grow, and it’s become a genuine powerhouse. With Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire breaking records and another film, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, already planned for 2027, this franchise has now surpassed $2.5 billion worldwide. It’s clear this series has firmly established itself as one of the most profitable cinematic universes Hollywood has ever seen.
